Wedding Party

Andrew Homer
Andrew Homer

My relationship with Andrew started on June 19, 1992. I was so excited to have a baby brother! I dreamed of all the things siblings do together. To show how much I loved him, put my Chi-Chi (the stuffed monkey that NO ONE could part from me) in his bassinet on the day he was born. It was a big moment. My parents were floored that I would part with Chi-Chi. However, I quickly realized that by giving Andrew Chi-Chi this meant it would be his forever, and I wasn’t about to let that happen. Besides, he didn’t seem to care about it. Within five minutes, I reached in the crib and took it back. Sorry Andrew, but you didn’t have enough time to really miss it!

Over the years, Andrew and I have seen each other go through many phases of life. We went from playing with my Barbies and his Thomas the Tank Engine Train to working for different companies located in the same Downtown Fort Worth building. Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree from TCU, his master’s degree from Texas A&M, and his law degree from Wake Forrest. Boy, does he love schooling! He passed the Texas Bar in November of 2019, and he is currently working as an Attorney at Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP.

Even though Andrew is nearly two years younger than me, everyone thinks he’s my older brother. He’s been taller and bigger than me since he was six months old. He has always been very mature for his age, and he plans to become the President of the United States someday (hopefully, soon)! Andrew is so accomplished at such a young age. I truly admire and look up to him!

I am always seeking Andrew’s advice as he is one of the most reliable, loyal, kind, selfless person you will ever meet. Whenever I need a friend, Andrew is willing to stop what he is doing and help me. He has always been by my side. I can’t think of anyone better to have stand next to me on the most important day of my life than Andrew!

The Remora fish attaches itself to the shark for use of transportation and to eat the left-over food from the shark. This is an example of a symbiotic relationship in nature. These relationships are not only found in the animal kingdom but also in humankind. And this is the beginning of our story…

James “Jimbo” Adam Antal being early for one time in his life, was born a day before Texas Independence Day on March 1st, 1996. Yet, he has the great fortune of sharing a birthday with the pioneer, visionary, and musical genius Justin Bieber. For myself, it was the most exciting and important day of my life (next to my wedding). I even gave up my much loved Big Bird stuffed animal as a peace offering to his entrance into life. He accepted and we have been best friends ever since. But it wasn’t always a match made in Heaven….

“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet” - Aristotle
“Who lives in a pineapple under the sea.” – SpongeBob SquarePants

We all know James is a gentleman and scholar. However, he wasn’t always that way in his younger years. He would often play hooky to spend the entire day watching SpongeBob SquarePants. That road lead him to a rehab to live with his older, currently more successful brother (myself). After much training and determination he became the man he is today: the God-loving, courageous, genius, loving, hilarious, and perfect man imaginable. I am so incredibly lucky to have him as my trusted confidant, life support system, and role model. He loves Christ, sets examples, and is lightyears ahead of where I was at his age.

He’s my best man because he’s the best man I know.

As a wise man once said, “Ask not what you can do for you brother but what your brother can do for you.”

Milk Shake Sundays All day. Keep Jammin’ Jimbo.
