If you haven't heard the story already, Patrick and Allison met 10 years ago at a ministry training in Colorado Springs. Staying up late playing card games with new friends, the anecdote of the story is how Patrick showed his interest only for Allison to shoot him down. Over the years they both worked in Texas at different times, Patrick moving overseas for a couple of years and Allison working on different college campuses. They stayed in touch sparsely.

In February of 2023 Allison reached out for a ministry appointment with Patrick, and while he did not originally express excitement, a snow day in February provided the opportunity for the two to connect over video. They both enjoyed the conversation, and it was only a matter of days before they began texting...a lot. Text messages turned into phone calls, and phone calls into videos. After three months Allison visited Patrick in Kansas City for the first time, and they began their long distance dating relationship.

To the relief of both of them after a year and a half, Allison moved to Kansas City August 1st of 2024, and they were engaged two days later. This year and a half of distance was difficult as you can imagine, but through each trial they kept choosing each other and continued to see God's assurance that their relationship is a good one. They are nervous and excited to look to the future together, and are so thankful for your excitement and support! They can't wait to celebrate with you!
