A beautiful and lively park in the middle of Downtown Dallas. There are food trucks, restaurants around the park, and sometimes activities held at the park. It is a fun atmosphere to walk around and people watch, if you are looking to take a stroll outside.
The Katy Trail is a fun trail to walk, run, or bike on! The Katy Trail Ice House is located right off the trail and has a cool outdoor seating area with lots of delicious food and drinks!
A fun and interactive museum located in Downtown Dallas. The museum is filled with all things nature and science. It's one of those places that you could spend hours at and not even realize it.

The Standard Pour is located in Uptown and has a pub type of feel to it. We love coming to this bar for a fun night with friends or a low-key date night. They have great drink and food selections, so definitely a must visit if you have time.
As everyone knows, we are both HUGE and passionate football fans of longstanding rivalry teams (Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles). When things get ugly, we like to watch the games in a neutral....and very public ;) area. This bar has one of the best game day atmospheres and tons of televisions to watch basically any game you want. The food and drinks are also phenomenal. So check this place out if you have a game you don't want to miss.
*Rumor has it......the newlyweds will make an appearance here on Sunday, their first full day of married life, for the first Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles football game of the season.....resulting in their first marital disagreement ;) *
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants nestled within Uptown and the State Thomas neighborhood (where we currently live). They have a huge patio and indoor seating area. It also has a wide variety of drinks and food to choose from, so you really can't go wrong with whatever you decide to get. It has quickly become one of our go-to places for food and drinks.
A Spanish tapas restaurant located in the State Thomas neighborhood/Uptown area with a long wine and sherry list, and bohemian style. This cute restaurant is based in a little house with indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu is very unique and we always have a good time when we go.
Founded in 1983, the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority operates a 4.6-mile heritage streetcar service in Uptown and Downtown Dallas. It is a fun and free way to get around the city if you don't feel like driving or walking.
