Sam Asfahl - Best Man
I met Sam my freshman year of high school and fell in love with him during our sophomore soccer season. We share the same, strange humor and have always partaken in similar hobbies. We took an unprecedented step in our relationship when we discovered “Seinfeld.” Lord of the Rings, then helped establish an indestructible alliance between us. I have often sought Sam’s counsel. I believe God has given him great wisdom. He has been by my side through many quests in my life and am glad to have him there once more on my day of wed.
Abigail Oyer (Sterneman) - Matron of Honor
Abigail is my only sister. She is my role model, my friend and the owner of my second closet. I had the pleasure of standing by her side when she married the love of her life, Malachi, six years ago this June. Abigail is caring and extremely thoughtful. I am very excited to have her as my matron of honor! Abigail is also expecting her first baby this November! Abby is a huge blessing in my life as a sister and friend! She will be an amazing Matron of Honor!
Amanda Phillips - Bridesmaid
Everyone needs a friend like Amanda Ann. She is amazingly intuitive, creative and genuine. We met as freshmen in the dorms at bible study and quickly became friends. We have spent the past four years of college having adventures together. Amanda and I have shared so much of our college life together in sharing experiences at the college of design, campus crusade and in our friend group. Amanda will be an amazing bridesmaid and she may be the most crafty person I know! She loves the Lord and Trent and I love her!
Travis Goodrich - Groomsman
Travis is my eldest brother. He has led me my whole life with his example of leadership and has always encouraged me when I needed it most. We have grown together in our similar taste of music, love for the outdoors, and our closely related jobs. As an older brother, he has always been proud of me and has made that known to me. His greatest impact on me is how to seek out friends and to love them as much as I can during this life.
Bella Zimmer (Nordahl) - Bridesmaid
“Ski Buddies for Life” - I have know bella since 2010 when I started nordic skiing for Elk River. She is a quite a gem and became my best friend on the team, constantly joke, parental skiing and having the best times on the trails. Bella and I have formed a beautiful friendship. She and I have kept in touch since high school and she was my go to girl at Stout. She married her best friend Mitch last May and I was able to stand up for her. Now Bella gets to return the favor and stand by my side as I follow her example in marrying a great man.
Tyler Goodrich - Groomsman
Tyler is my other older brother. We both have many cherished memories from childhood together since we are closer in age. Although we had good times, our relationship then does not compare to how it is now. Tyler is one of my closest friends. We share the same love for exercise, videogames, and most important of all, our Creator. He has shown me in these past few years how zealous we are called to be towards God. His relationship with his wife, Amber, has been an example of how I should love my Bride.
Wayne Ruble - Groomsman
I have known of Wayne since we were 3rd graders in Sunday school. When we were in 6th grade, Wayne took me snowboarding after I had told him I had done it often. He quickly found out I had never been before after we spent the whole day on the bunny hill. We have been best friends since. Other than Allison now, I had never introduced more movies to a person than Wayne. Our love for adventure and humor have bonded us over the years. His love for the Lord has filled my life with joy. Wayne’s love for life challenges me to surrender my life to God daily.
Maura Dahl - Bridesmaid
Mo is full of smiles! She is the teammate that helped me immensely over the past few years. Maura is an amazing listener, gift giver and sleepover host. I love spending time with Mo while it be on rowing trips across the country, shopping dates, or simply doing facemasks. I am very excited to have Maura in our wedding. She supports our marriage and is so lovely. Coming out of Division I athletics, I am so blessed to have a bestfriend who went through the same crazy journey with me!
Jamie Pensigner - Bridesmaid
Pizza girl, as my dad calls her, has been my friend since middle school. Jamie is the homecoming queen to my prom queen. She is an amazing woman and a very loyal friend. Jamie is quick to listen and always offers sound advice. She is a very fun girl and when we are together we always have laughs. From high school english class to seeing Justin Bieber in concert, Jamie and I have so many great memories. I am very excited to have Jamie as a bridesmaid and create new fond memories with her!
Max Zamzow - Groomsman
Max and I met my first week at Stout. We quickly learned that we both liked the comedian, Brian Regan, and haven’t stopped laughing with each other since. I had the privilege to live with Max for 2 years of my life. Not one day in those 2 years lacked a quote from a random movie or a sound effect made by our mouths. The greatest thing I have learned about Max is his sincere love for God. Max pushed me to be a better man of God and has taught me how important it is to build others up. I don’t think I have ever laughed as much with another individual in my life.
Alecia Janzen - Bridesmaid
Though college I spend two years in a CRU house with 17 other women. Alecia moved into our house in the Fall of 2017 and we became instant friends. Alecia is the type of friend who makes you feel like you are the only two in the world. She is a true woman of God and has pushed me in my faith. Alecia quickly became Trent’s favorite of my many roommates through our chats on my bedroom floor when the three of us would just hang out. Alecia and I were able to share a bedroom for a brief period of time, and through that, grew even closer. I know that in the future Alecia will continue to be a positive life and friend for Trent and I!
Ike Larson - Groomsman
I met Ike Bike when we were in high school. Our friendship grew more intense by our senior year. We have bonded over our love for athletics and Minnesota. By his example, Ike has always pushed me to be genuine. He is the most caring person I know and always asks me how I am doing before I can ask him. He can snap me out of a bad attitude with just his beautiful smile. His love for the Lord is so pure that I feel blessed whenever I am in his company.
Hailey Wheeler - Attendant
Miss Hailey Jean is in a class all her own. Hailey and I had the honor of being Princeton Ambassadors together in 2013. In a year filled with parades, pageants and volunteering, we formed a bond and a true friendship. Our families have become close over the years as well and I am so grateful for the whole Wheeler family. Hailey is a beautiful girl, inside and out! We always have great talks and lots of laughs together. Hailey is an amazing helper and I know she will be a key role in my big day as my personal attendant!
Ben Marusak - Usher
I met Ben at a Navigators picnic. Within a week, we were trying to kill each other in racquetball. We shared our competitive nature in the many activities that we did together. We bonded over our love for the Vikings and the Twins. Ben led my bible study my first year at Stout. In that study, Ben helped teach me the role of a Christ-like man. We lived in the same house for 2 years and pushed each other to grow in our church community. Ben has always pushed me outside my comfort zone. Behind his fun humor, he is a wise and patient man.
Austin Rayburn - Usher
I met Austin at the same picnic. He let me “move” into his dorm room within one week. I lived with him the rest of my time at Stout. Austin is the most welcoming person I know. If he did not come up to me at that picnic, I may have never met any of my friends I know today from school. He shares everything that he owns (which is a lot) and invest so much of his time and energy for benefiting others. He introduced me to Arrowhead Bible Camp where we got to work together for a summer. His love for helping the church radiates on others. His stewardship has helped me grown in Christ more than he knows.
Kari Asfahl (Blom) - Attendant
Sam was the first of Trent’s friends I met. The first time I met him, I heard about the lovely Kari. Sam and Kari started dating shortly after Trent and I and we have been able to witness their love story. We watched as they grew closer to one another, got engaged and then married! At their wedding, I had the honor of being Kari’s personal attendant and now she gets to return the favor! Kari is a true gift and it is such a blessing that her and I have been able to form a deep friendship through our boy’s friendship! Kari is a great Christian woman, full of so much love! She will be an amazing help on our big day and a friend for life!
