The closest major airport is the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). This airport is about 35 miles from Kent Island. There are then a few options to get to/from the airport and Kent Island:

- The taxi stands are located just outside of the baggage claim area on the Lower Level of the BWI Marshall Airport terminal near doors 5 and 13.

- The BWI taxis offer services only from BWI to your destination. When returning to BWI, another local taxi service or alternate ride option would be needed.

Uber / Lyft

- App-based ride services pick up and drop off passengers at the terminal curbs on the Upper Level/Departures.

Rental Car

- Passengers arriving on flights should take the free shuttle from the lower level terminal for a ten-minute ride to the rental car facility.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) are two other major airport options in the DMV area. DCA is about 45 miles from Kent Island and IAD is about 70 miles. Both of these airports have similar transportation options as listed under BWI.
