Adam started working at a construction contracting company - not just any construction contracting company, the same construction contracting company Allie had been working at for the past few months.

Adam was assigned to a project in Elk River, MD - not just any project in Elk River, MD, the same project in Elk River, MD Allie had been working on for the past few weeks.

Allie started "training" Adam, sharing all of the things she'd learned in the short time she'd spent with the company. Adam would ask a lot of questions. They both secretly thought the other was cute.

Adam's birthday is the day before Allie's. Allie convinced Adam to have a joint birthday party to celebrate. Before he could change his mind, Allie created a Facebook event with Adam's picture as the event photo. The party was a complete success.

This was the night that they shared their first kiss.

At their favorite bar in Federal Hill, Baltimore, Adam made a comment to Allie about "us". Allie took the opportunity to ask Adam what "us" meant to him. Adam said to Allie that he had been planning to have this conversation with her but didn't think the bar was the best place for it. He continued and asked Allie if she wanted to have the conversation right then and there. Allie responded with "absolutely". Adam looked at Allie and smiled as he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Adam and Allie moved in together! Allie moved out of Federal Hill and over to Canton where Adam, Allie, and Luna moved into a row home together. (For non-Baltimore people - Federal Hill and Canton are neighborhoods within Baltimore. They are not far from each other, about 1.5 miles, but they are across the harbor from each other and for Baltimoreans, that might as well be across the Atlantic Ocean.)

Adam and Allie traveled to Allie's hometown in upstate NY for Easter. They had lunch plans that Saturday to celebrate her grandparent's anniversary at a local restaurant on the Erie Canal. Allie's parents planned to drive around town to pick up all the grandparents for then meet Adam and Allie at the restaurant. While Adam and Allie were on the way, Allie's dad called to say that they were running late but would be there soon. Adam suggested they take a walk along the canal until the rest of the family arrived. This is where Adam got down on one knee and asked Allie to marry him. He arranged for her family and high school friends to be waiting at the restaurant to celebrate. The following weekend, he got his family and Baltimore friends together for another surprise celebration. They were feeling all the love from loved ones.
