Friends since daycare, with a bond that has only grown stronger over the years. Known for her generosity and humor, Delany is quick to make anyone laugh, and is always ready with a spare bed (or couch) when I need it. From uncontrollable giggles to heart-to-hearts, she’s been both the life of the party and the shoulder to cry on.

Emily is not only one of my best friends—she’s also about to be my sister-in-law, which means I officially get to keep her forever. She’s the kind of person you can be completely yourself with, unfiltered thoughts and all. We’ve had a blast planning our weddings side by side and I can’t wait for all the fun ahead—wedding celebrations, family holidays, and eventually chasing little cousins around together.

Grace has a heart as open as her door—always ready to dive into a conversation and welcome people in with a home-cooked meal and a glass of wine. Grace and I first connected as sorority sisters at NWMSU. Having both called Des Moines home for the past few years, we’ve shared countless laughs, late-night talks, and special memories together.

Addy and I met as co-workers in Des Moines and instantly bonded over our love of books and dance floors. She’s the kind of friend you can talk about anything—or sit in total silence with and still feel understood. From dancing in the living room to Justin Bieber and Mamma Mia, to placing questionable sports bets, to sharing book recs, life is always better (and more fun) with Addy.

Jess and I have known each other since elementary school and over the years, she’s become one of the most steady, loyal, and deeply caring people in my life Jess is the kind of friend you can go to with absolutely anything—no matter what’s going on, she shows up with an open heart, a listening ear, and usually a good laugh when you need it most. Her kindness and joy radiate in everything she does, and I’m so grateful for the countless memories we’ve shared and all the ones still to come.
