Where to even begin? I think it all started when I was in my junior year and working as a front desk assistant in Hull Hall at Mississippi State. I was getting more involved in campus ministry and started seeing this girl at a bunch of events at church. I didnt think much of it, but then I started seeing her in Hull Hall. I was surprised but then found out that she lived there! We started talking and then started going to social functions together such as game nights, trivia, adoration, etc. One night, at adoration, in front of the Blessed Sacrament, I knelt down next to Allyson to pray a rosary and from that moment, our relationship blossomed. Our relationship grew through every moment I spent with her. We explored Starkville, Memphis, and even a couple of other states on our way to Philmont in 2022! By the time we got back from Christmas in January 2023, I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. She had been my rock and my loving support for two years at that point, and I am so thankful the Lord had brought her into my life. I asked her dad and we discussed over a piece of pie (I learned you cant make any big life decisions without having a piece of pie in front of you). He gave me permission and I started planning out my proposal. And then, fast-forward to March 20th, and I am down on one knee asking her to marry me! I am so excited for June and cant wait to see what the Lord has in store for us!
