A Nuptial Mass is a Mass which includes the celebration of the sacrament of marriage. It includes special readings and prayers that are suitable to the sacrament of marriage and is normally used when both parties to the sacrament are Catholic. This means that the exchanging of vows and rings takes place during the Mass immediately following the Homily. After the exchanging of rings and kiss, the Mass continues into the Liturgy of the Eucharist. From there, the Mass proceeds normally, with the Nuptial Blessing being offered by the priest before the Sign of Peace.
