What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
The ceremony will start at 4:15pm, arrive around 4pm. If you would like extra time to park then you can aim for 3:45pm and there will be staff directing parking for you.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The Riverhouse Banquet Center is both an indoor and outdoor venue. The ceremony will be taking place outside at their gazebo in the back. The reception will be indoors, but everyone will still have access to go back outside after dinner. The bar and bathrooms will be located inside.
The outdoor area will have multiple places to sit and relax and there will also be fire pits/stations that you can sit by if you need to warm up
Am I allowed to bring my kids?
No, we respectfully request no children under the age of 16 attend the wedding unless otherwise specified.
Only a select few kids will be invited due to them being close to the bride's little sister who is a part of the wedding party. If your kids were included on your invite, just make sure that you RSVP for them as well.
The venue does have a rule that anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied when going to the outside part of the venue.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes. There are multiple different places to park and being we will be having the wedding on a Sunday, there should be multiple options available. The venue will have staff out directing everyone where to park to assist with any confusion.
Will there be an open bar?
No. The bride and groom decided to have a cash bar for the wedding. The bar will be inside the venue and anyone interested in getting alcohol will need to have ID and a form of payment.
What will the weather be like?
We are looking at memorial weekend so this would be spring time in Michigan. It is hard to predict what the weather will for sure look like during this time of year. We may see rain and it could be on the chilly side but it also could be full sun and warm. It would be best to check the weather forecast prior to the actual wedding.
If it does rain, we have a backup plan set up with the venue in which we would move the wedding indoors.
What type of food and drink will be served during the time the wedding party is taking pictures and the reception?
We'll be serving appetizers and/or fruit/veggie trays during wedding party photos, followed by a full course meal and dessert
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What is the best way to let you know?
Reach out to one of the maids of honors via text or send an email to the bride. Make sure to state who you are and what the restriction/allergy is. Remember that all accommodations must be noted in advance so make sure to inform the wedding party ASAP of any restrictions/allergies.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
No. The wedding will be an unplugged ceremony. The bride and groom have hired a photographer to take pictures during the ceremony.
Feel free to take as many pictures as you would like during the reception and make sure to tag the bride and groom in all of the pictures.
What's the best way to RSVP?
There will be two options for one to RSVP. You can respond via mail as there will be an RSVP to send back that was sent with your invite. Or you can RSVP online as there will also be a virtual RSVP that will be sent out.
YOU NEED TO RSVP BY 3/25/25
Can I bring my gift to the wedding?
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Cocktail Dress: Middle ground between casual and formal.
Examples:
Men- suit, ties, dress shirts, and polished shoes
Women- dresses, pantsuits, elegant fabrics, and chic accessories
Will there be a time gap between the ceremony and reception?
Yes. The wedding party will be leaving to take pictures after the ceremony for approximately an hour. During this time, we will be serving appetizers.
Where will wedding updates be posted?
Wedding updates will be posted on the wedding website and sent out individually over text or phone call
