Our Wedding

We first met in Newport, RI, back in 2018 at O’Brien’s pub where Brad would often frequent on a Saturday to eat wings and watch his OSU college football team. Brad was attending the Navy's Officer Candidate School. As the Navy moved Brad around, our love followed. As Brad moved around the country, Aly faithfully followed him from Florida to Texas to Virginia. After three years of dating, we finally moved in together in Virginia Beach, VA, bought a house, and got a dog named Kona. After five years of dating, we knew it was time to take the next step. On December 31, 2023, in Charleston, SC, Brad proposed, and without hesitation, Aly said yes. This began the next chapter in our love story. With much joy and excitement, we're taking our love story back to where it all started in Newport, RI, to make our vows in front of all our loved ones!

Getting To Newport

For those traveling to Rhode Island to attend our wedding, you'll be flying into Providence, RI. The airport is about a 30-40 minute drive to Newport. We recommend using Uber, Lyft, or renting a car.

Where To Stay

We realize Newport can be expensive, especially on Memorial Day Weekend. For this reason, we have a few recommendations depending on your budget. We also recommend checking Airbnb. You can look for hotels or BNBs in Middletown, or off the island in Jamestown, North Kingstown, Warwick, or Providence. Just be aware if you choose to stay off the island that traffic can back up when crossing the Newport Bridge, increasing travel times to well over an hour during the holiday weekend. There are a number of great hotels in Newport or Middletown, ranging from a 5-20 minute car ride away from the venue. To start your search we recommend checking out the Sonesta Select in Middletown, RI.

Attractions

The scooter coupe is the best most efficient way to see the most of Newport. Rent one of these for a few hours and cruise around the iconic Ocean Drive. Take it up to Fort Adams and around Bellevue.

Scooter World

Grab a coffee and enjoy this 3.5 mile walk. The views of the mansions are spectacular. This is a must do when visiting Newport. There are public access points at Bellevue Avenue, Ledge Road, Marine Avenue, Ruggles Avenue, Sheppard Avenue, Webster Street, Narragansett Avenue, and Memorial Boulevard.
