We have been together four years! We met while serving together on the student ministry team at our church.

One night, Alyssa was having a particularly bad time (yay anxiety), and came out of the church auditorium crying during service. Journey asked if she was okay, and she responded with the typical answer of "I'm fine." Fast forward to youth group finishing up, and Alyssa comes out after being with her small group girls. Through all the conversations, students being picked up, leader huddle, and the whole night, Journey stayed. He waited. After the dust settled and the church lobby cleared out, he went up to Alyssa to double check on her, making sure she was okay. We stayed at the church until 10:30pm that night just chatting away!

Journey invited Alyssa to a bonfire a few days later.

By the time that night was over, Journey knew he had feelings for Alyssa.

We had many movie nights, sat together in church, and had plenty of conversations.

October 30, 2021, Journey asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend.

Since then, we have seen our fair share of trials, but have kept the Lord at the center of our relationship. From friend groups shifting to different job opportunities, to navigating the normal ins and outs of a relationship, we have remained faithful and put in the work to keep our relationship strong.

We're so excited to be getting married and to start the next chapter of our lives. Thank you for being part of it!
