We have been together four years! We met while serving together on the student ministry team at our church. One night, Alyssa was having a particularly bad time (yay anxiety), and came out of the church auditorium crying during service. Journey asked if she was okay, and she responded with the typical answer of "I'm fine." Fast forward to youth group finishing up, and Alyssa comes out after being with her small group girls. Through all the conversations, students being picked up, leader huddle, and the whole night, Journey stayed. He waited. After the dust settled and the church lobby cleared out, he went up to Alyssa to double check on her, making sure she was okay. We stayed at the church until 10:30pm that night just chatting away! Journey invited Alyssa to a bonfire a few days later. By the time that night was over, Journey knew he had feelings for Alyssa. We had many movie nights, sat together in church, and had plenty of conversations. October 30, 2021, Journey asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend. Since then, we have seen our fair share of trials, but have kept the Lord at the center of our relationship. From friend groups shifting to different job opportunities, to navigating the normal ins and outs of a relationship, we have remained faithful and put in the work to keep our relationship strong. INTRODUCING THE TATE WEDDING PARTY! We asked our bridesmaids what their favorite memory was with the bride, what their hobbies are, and what inspires them. We asked the groomsmen how they met the groom, what their favorite memory of the groom is, and what their favorite vehicle is.

Emilee and Alyssa met at a church small group in 2020, and have been best friends ever since. Her favorite memory with the bride was when Alyssa flew out to Texas for 24-ish hours because Emilee desperately needed her bestie girl. Her favorite hobbies are reading, baking, and sewing. Her greatest inspiration are her daughters, Harlee and Juniper.

Journey and Dylan met at church. Specifically because Journey was blocking Dylan's view of the pastor. Obviously, he asked how tall Journey is, and they've been friends since. Dylan's favorite memory with Journey was the 4th of July in 2025. They bought TONS of fireworks and shot them off after a day of swimming and games! Dylan's favorite vehicle is a 2007 Ford F-250.

Ashley is Alyssa's sister in law! She married Alyssa's brother, Shawn in 2015, but her and Alyssa have been close since she first came into the picture three years before that. Ashley's favorite memory with the bride is the countless nights and moments they have of staying up late talking, crying, and laughing with one another. Ashley's hobbies are exploring outside, eating snacks, being a mom, listening to music, dancing, napping, and learning new things. She is most inspired by passion and love.

Journey and I met in October of 2001 the day after he was born. Three things happened that day, I realized I was no longer the baby, and I loved nothing more than being a big sister (and that my mom had just birthed my best friend) 

My favorite memory with Journey is when we shared a room growing up he was probably 5 at the time) and Journey was a very early riser. He would turn all the lights on in our room at 6a and climb into the top bunk with me, get right in my face and say “you help me make waffles?”

Aaliyah and Alyssa met while working together in 2021. Her favorite memory with the bride is the many, many, MANY coffee shop work sessions. Aaliyah's hobbies are reading, writing, and anything outdoors. She is most inspired by her baby girl, Aelin.

Roy and Journey met at either a gas station when Journey complimented Roy's car, or at a car event like cars and coffee. Then Journey went to Roy's shop (Aftermath Performance) and just never left. Roy's favorite vehicle is a Lincoln with suicide doors (which he's wanted since high school and now owns).

Michaela and Alyssa met in a journalism class in college! Her favorite memory of the bride is getting Sprite and french fries from the McDonalds across the street from our university...usually during late night study sessions, and often followed by coffee the next day. Michaela loves being outside, especially with her sons. She also enjoys crocheting and reading. What inspires her most is well-written words and creativity!

Sam and Journey met because Sam's church group caroled in Journey's neighborhood, and they started seeing each other at car meets. Sam's favorite memory with Journey is when they were threatened to get arrested by a retired cop at a car meet. (Don't worry...no arrests were made). His favorite vehicle is a 964 Turbo Porsche.

Sarah and Alyssa met when they were small group leaders at camp together. It was quite the bonding experience. Sarah's favorite memory of Alyssa is our many karaoke performances for our fiancés. Her favorite hobbies are taking photos, cooking, and writing poetry. She is most inspired by her kids, who inspire her to pause and not take life too seriously, and her fiancé who loves Sarah's kids (Leia and Eli) like his own and shows them what steady, selfless love looks like.

Trevor and Journey never officially met...but they've both lived in Spring Hill most of their lives and would say hello when they saw each other around. Eventually, that evolved into seeing each other at different car events. A few of his favorite memories of Journey are being invited to Cars, Cigars, and Whiskey events that Journey organized, attending numerous car events, meets, and shows together, and being invited to Journey's family functions like Thanksgiving. Trevor's favorite vehicle is anything BMW (because they're the ultimate driving experience).

Are there allergies I need to be aware of?

The bride has a gluten allergy, and the mother of the bride has Alpha Gal Syndrome. Due to this, if you plan on hugging MOB, please refrain from wearing any skincare with beef tallow, as she could have a severe reaction to it. Thank you!

When are RSVPs due?

Please RSVP no later than March 18, 2026. If you do not respond by that date, we will assume you are unable to attend and will mark your response as a "no."

Can I bring a guest?

Due to capacity limits, we are only able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation/RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

While we love all the tiny humans in our life, we can only accommodate a small number of kiddos. If your kids are invited, it will be specified on your invitation and/or RSVP!

Is there a dress code?

We want to see your best semi formal/cocktail attire! Please, no jeans or white/ivory dresses.

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Yes! We will be having a taco bar! 🌮

Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?

We are not doing a first look, so walking down the aisle will be the first time Journey sees Alyssa! So please, do not post photos of the bride until after the ceremony. Otherwise, post away!

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer, and would like them to be responsible for capturing the moment! Please, keep your phone in your bag/pocket and on silent or turned off.

What is the best/closest airport to the venue?

BNA - Nashville International Airport. A secondary option is HSV - Huntsville International Airport. Though, we recommend BNA.

What is the address of the wedding venue?

We are getting married at Battle Mountain Farm in College Grove, TN! The address is 6917 Arno-Allisona Road, College Grove, Tennessee, 37046. Please note: if you type in only the address, it will take you to the wrong location. Please type in the name of the venue.

Will alcohol be served at the wedding?

We will be having a dry wedding. While there will not be alcohol, we will have our favorite lemonade truck on site!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors (weather dependent!), and the reception will be inside the barn.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes! And there should be parking attendants on-site to show you where to park.

Can I be strapped?

Our venue does not allow any firearms or weapons of any kind. Do with that information what you will.
