Alyssa's Version:We met the modern way—on a dating app—but the universe had a plot twist in mind. Turns out, Josh grew up with the childhood friends of my college roommate (hi Lauren!). So basically, fate (and the algorithm) were working overtime.Our first date? Nothing fancy—just quesadillas on a Wednesday night. We almost bailed because our schedules were chaotic and we barely had time to chat beforehand. But we showed up, talked for hours, and at the end of the night, Josh almost kissed me… and botched it. (Don’t worry, I gave him a do-over. You're welcome, Josh.)We’ve been officially together since April 2016 and have truly been through it all—especially once we moved into that house in January 2020. What was meant to be a cute rental quickly turned into something out of a sitcom (or maybe a horror film): unpredictable plumbing, surprise rodent guests, and a general sense of “how is this legal?”We lived there for four chaotic years and somehow came out stronger (and maybe slightly more feral). If that’s not love and commitment, we don’t know what is.Along the way, we’ve navigated big career shifts, heartbreaking losses, and all the ups and downs life throws your way. Through it all, we’ve remained each other’s home.Then came Snoop. In December 2024, we adopted our puppy—a sweet, hilarious little guy who is almost aggressively indifferent to the world around him. Snoop (yes, like Snoop Dogg) is unimpressed by literally everything except snacks and naps. He quickly became the center of our universe—and whether he likes it or not, he’ll be walking down the aisle as our ring bearer.The proposal? Josh got down on one knee at Taconic Distillery, surrounded by some of our favorite people. They tricked me into taking a photo with our friends’ son, Matteo, then swapped him out for Josh. And just like that, we were engaged.Now, after nearly a decade of love, laughter, missed kisses, haunted plumbing, and one very unimpressed dog—we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.Josh's Version:It was the start of a cold, blustery winter in 2015 when I swiped right. We matched, started chatting, and quickly planned a date. As that date got closer, we both ended up canceling. Fast forward to our second attempt—this time I had to cancel because of work… although Alyssa didn’t even know we had a date planned.They say the third time’s the charm, and this time it really was. We scheduled another date and finally met in person.It was a Tuesday night, and we went to dinner at Café Maya. To this day, it was hands down the best date I’ve ever been on. We talked for hours—I don’t even think we drank. We hit it off so well that I barely touched my quesadilla. And for those of you who know this story, yes, I still regret not taking my leftovers home. That quesadilla would have absolutely slapped later that night.When I got home, I was buzzing with excitement. My dad asked how the date went, and I told him how amazing it was—how we talked all night. When he found out she worked in the medical field, he said, “Don’t get your hopes up… she’ll marry a doctor.” Well… look at me now.That was ten years ago, and I’ve never looked back. From darties at Mellis, to scrubbing Phil and Deb’s driveway, to the Rat King of Spring Valley, to bringing home the best dang pup in the world—she has been my partner in everything. I couldn’t have asked for a better girlfriend, best friend, fiancée, and very soon, wife.I pray every day that she keeps laughing at my bad jokes and never realizes that I’m really not that good-looking. 😊

Gina is the bride’s sister, best friend, and the one person who truly gets her—so of course she had to be Matron of Honor. They’ve known each other their whole lives (Gina is 2.5 years younger), and she is the person Alyssa trusts most in the world. Hilarious, fiercely loyal, wonderfully chaotic, and spontaneous, Gina is always the first to speak up when something isn’t right. Josh and Alyssa genuinely don’t know what they’d do without her.

Pete is basically the male version of Alyssa, which explains why he and Josh lived together for years and survived. We’ve known Pete for almost as long as we’ve been together, and during the time he lived with Josh, he officially became family. He’s endlessly funny, fiercely loyal, very into games, and deeply afraid of parallel parking. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Calm, cool, a little bit terrified of everything, and deeply unimpressed.
He has no idea what a wedding is, is mildly annoyed there will be a crowd, and fully intends to nap immediately after his big moment. He has not practiced walking down the aisle and probably never will.
But he will show up. He might carry the rings. And he will absolutely steal the show.


Snoop (yes, like Snoop Dogg) Goetz

Brianna is Alyssa's older sister.  Even though she grew up in Wisconsin and Alyssa and her never lived together, they're incredibly close. They bond over football and beer, she’s an amazing mom, and she’s always a ton of fun! So excited to have her stand by our side.

Alana is a doctor of psychology, an avid reader, an incredible cook, and one of the wisest people we know. She’s been one of Alyssa's best friends since college. If you ask her opinion, you know you're getting the real answer every single time, and we trust her completely! She's also an incredible foodie (Alyssa and Alana both have a "Best Bites" list thanks to her) and we always have the most fun together!

Alana Telesford

Frank is Gina’s husband and, quite possibly, the most quietly unhinged person we know. He is the funniest person in the room, but only if you’re paying close attention. We met Frank when he and Gina started dating, and we truly bonded during an unforgettable, cinematic night at the blackjack table in Atlantic City—one of those nights that feels like it couldn’t possibly have happened. He’s obsessed with fantasy football, somehow the pickiest eater in the world in the strangest ways, and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Tommy is Alyssa's little brother and, yes, the golden child (the favorite, if you ask anyone). He’s a brilliant history teacher, endlessly smart, and the proud father of Suki the Akita. We’re lucky to have him by our side—even if he’s been winning at life since day one.

If there’s one rule, it’s don’t touch Nick. A surprise addition to the wedding party, Nick has his own language and lives by “that’s show biz, baby.” He’s one of the funniest people we know, always ready for a good time, and the first person you call when you need an elite dinner recommendation.

Cricket (Nick) Mazzilli 

Also known as Matt, Diki is one of those people who instantly feels like family. He’s hilarious, fiercely loyal to a fault, and will do absolutely anything for the people he loves. Easy to talk to, incredibly kind, and a top-tier hype man, he somehow has the worst luck ordering food—there is always a problem, and it is never his fault. We’re very excited to have him as a special surprise addition to our wedding party.

Diki (Matt Dicairano) 

Jill is Snoop’s handler, personal assistant, and emotional support human—he is completely obsessed with her. Alyssa and Jill grew up five minutes apart, their dads knew each other, and somehow they didn’t meet until Josh and Alyssa started dating. She’s Diki’s wife, endlessly kind, patient, loyal, and hilarious, and we’re so lucky our paths finally crossed when they did.



Jill DiCairano

Noelle is Pete’s wife, one of our officiants, and essentially the female version of Josh. A fellow foodie, we became inseparable during the Pete-and-Josh-living-together era. She’s one of the wisest people we know, the sweetest person in the room, an excellent driver—and quietly judgmental in a way we deeply respect.

Carlo is Alyssa's uncle, one of our officiants, and this is his third wedding as an officiant—which clearly makes him a professional. He’s funny, kind, hardworking, athletic, and an absolute blast to be around. We couldn’t imagine anyone better to help marry us.

As this is the oldest inn in America, it was built before the town was incorporated. Because of this, the inn is spread out over a few blocks. Please see the map below to familiarize yourself with the property.

We have a block of rooms set aside for guests at the Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn for your convenience! This is where the wedding ceremony, reception, and after-party will be held. Please book as early as possible to ensure your room is reserved. The last date to book a room at a discounted rate is June 30.To book: Please bear with us :) Below is a link to their website.
