Where is the wedding taking place?

Can I bring my own alcohol for before/during the reception?

Absolutely NO!!! There will be ZERO alcohol permitted on the venue grounds that is not purchased at the venue bar! They are a licensed establishment, due to this bringing alcohol on the premises is not allowed. Host and Hostess, Venue Staff, along with all Security people have the right to ask you to leave the premises if you are caught bringing anything on site! Please Don't detract from our day and respect the venue and its rules!

Is there a Dress Code?

Where what makes you feel like yourself! Even the Groom will be in nice jeans! As always please just avoid shades of white/ivory!

Will the event be indoors or outside?

Our special day will include both! The ceremony will be outdoors (pending rain) near the lake. The social hour will be in the 1st floor of the barn which has A/C and Heat. The reception will take place on the barn patio under a tent with a lake view on both sides. After the meal the dance will take place in the hayloft area of the barn, which again has A/C and heat!

Are Children Invited?

Of Course!! Both the bride and the groom have children in our lives that are important to us and we can't wait to see them! If your Children are listed on the RSVP they are welcome at the event!

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to having a smaller head count and wanting a personal connection to those included in our big day we are asking that no one brings a plus one unless otherwise noted on your invitation!

Is the Venue Wheelchair Accessible?

There will be a golf cart on site for anyone who may need assistance getting from the ceremony to the barn area. Golf cart will be operated by staff only, but there will be an usher/host nearby to get help for anyone who may need it. Once at the barn there is solid floor everywhere. To get up to the hayloft there is a ramp that goes to a chair lift that will be staffed all night. The bathrooms on site are also handicap accessible!

Will there be a shuttle going to and from the venue?

Depends on your location.

The venue we have chosen offers a Safe Ride Shuttle Bus Service that is willing to pickup and return you to Hankinson hotels and Dakota Magic Casino!

Below you will find 3 pickup time options to choose from.

Spots on the bus are limited.

There is not time for extra trips and we will not delay the start of the ceremony.

Our Ceremony Begins at 4:30 p.m.

  Pickup route start time options are as follows:

1.) 1:45 p.m.

2.) 2.45 p.m.

3.) 3:45 p.m.

Note: These are their ONLY 3 pickup times, so if you miss the shuttle you’ll have to grab the next or drive yourself in.

Note: The Safe Ride Bus will run at scheduled times beginning Saturday at 9:30 p.m.-1:00 a.m., so you can leave your vehicle and get back to your room safely. We will make sure everyone has a safe ride back to their rooms. Sunday morning at 9AM (ONLY) it will pick up DRIVERS ONLY of vehicles left the night before.
