While we would love to celebrate with the little ones, unfortunately due to venue size limitations our guest list only includes those listed on the invitation.
What is the dress code?
Please feel free to dress your best. The dress code is black tie optional.
Can I bring a date?
Due to venue size limitations, our wedding is RSVP only for those listed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!
Can I stay on property at Maxwelton Braes?
Unfortunately, no. The rooms on property have been reserved exclusively for our wedding party. Thank you for understanding!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask you to keep our ceremony "technology-free" and "unplugged". We would like to honor and respect the parish and exclude cellphones from the service. Once we are 'officially married' and walking out of the church, please feel free to take all the photos you wish! We have an incredible photographer who will be at the ceremony to capture every moment leading up to our exit.
How do we get to Door County?
You can fly into Chicago (~4 hours away), Milwaukee (~3 hours away) or Green Bay (~90 minutes) and rent a car. If you have any questions or need help, please reach out to one of us, so we can do our best to help you navigate.
Is transportation provided?
Our ceremony is early in the day (1pm), so please take your own transportation to the church. We don't want our guests to worry about needing to drive to and from the reception, so we will be providing a shuttle for reception transportation. Please see the Day of Shuttle tab on the website for more information.
Do you have any Covid precautions?
We kindly encourage our guests to get vaccinated and/or test negative before arrival for the weekend.
What should I do between the ceremony and reception?
We will continue to update the section on the website for local "Things to Do" between the ceremony and reception. The shuttle will pick you up from one of the shuttle stops ahead of the cocktail hour.
What will the weather be like?
Wisconsin weather can be unpredictable, so it may be 60 degrees, or snowing. Please monitor the local weather ahead of the weekend. All events will be held indoors, with the exception of an outdoor patio we can utilize, weather permitting.
