Our Wedding

Our love story began in 2018, on second shift at the Galesburg Walmart. We were both assigned to stock the cereal aisle together one night, a task that would set the stage for something much greater. At first, we were both shy—unsure of how to start a conversation. Jose, however, made the first move, though Alyssa wasn’t making it easy for him with her short answers.Then, during break time, we joined our coworkers outside on the benches. Jose, feeling a bit uncertain, chose the farthest bench from Alyssa and sat alone. But Alyssa looked over at him, smiled, and said, “You can sit by me, I don’t have cooties.” And just like that, he joined her on the bench, and a beautiful friendship began to grow.That simple moment sparked something special, and over time, our bond deepened. Our relationship officially began on Black Friday, and since then, we’ve spent every moment together, sharing laughter, love, and countless memories.Now, seven years later, we are here, surrounded by friends and family, celebrating the love that started with a shy glance and a simple invitation to sit together. We’re so happy you’re here to celebrate this journey with us.

I met Sam at church, and from the very beginning, our connection felt real. Through daily conversations, faith, and a lot of honesty she became someone I could always count on. She is one of those people who listens deeply, loves fiercely, and shows up no matter what. Having her as my bridesmaid means more to me than words can fully explain.

She’s been my best friend long before I could even speak a full sentence. From the days when she would trick me into doing her chores in exchange for cheap McDonald’s toys, to the countless memories we've shared, I truly can’t imagine my life without her. She’s not just my sister – she’s my lifelong partner in crime, and I’m so honored to have her as my bridesmaid.

My forever fellow coffee date. At this point, I’m convinced we need a permanent booth at Innkeepers and a permanent chair at Orange Cup! I will never forget all those hours we spent talking instead of studying — I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Honestly, I could talk to you for hours, and most of the time, that’s exactly what we do! Being friends with you feels so natural and easy, and even though we don’t talk every day, whenever we do hang out, it’s like no time has passed at all. I’m so grateful for your friendship and so happy you’re here by my side.

It all started as we were young kids facing the bottles of alcohol in the aisle when a random package of bologna was sitting on a case of beer and suddenly two very tired girls forgot how to pronounce bologna. Two strangers became inseparable. From that moment on, a friendship was born. Rose has been there through it all catching all my tears, all the smiles, the belly laughs, and supporting me through every heartbreak. She even took me to Prom! She's the one who's always had my back, and I feel so lucky to have her by my side as my Maid of Honor.

The Lego enthusiast and one of Ren's favorite people to heard around! You bring so much light and energy into my life, and I’m beyond proud of the person you’re becoming.

An animal lover with the biggest heart! He always brings so much warmth and joy to everyone around him. Watching you grow and explore your interests has been such a joy, and I’m so proud to be your aunt. 

Wyatt

From laughing about tractors in a farm simulation game to discussing career paths. Braden has stuck by Jose through thick and thin! A fun fact that really ignited their friendship was, Jose didn’t believe Braden owned a pair of overalls — and of course Braden had to prove he wasn't wrong. What started as a funny conversation turned into one of the most genuine friendships ever had. He’s someone who shows up, someone who listens, and someone Jose has shared more laughs and life with than I ever expected from a conversation about virtual farming. I’m proud to have him standing by my side today — as a not only his best man but more importantly, as a true friend.

Ryan met Jose back at OSF, thanks to their mutual connection, Braden—proving once again that Braden has a talent for bringing people together. What started as a simple introduction quickly turned into a solid friendship, fueled by plenty of hangouts at Ryan’s house. Somewhere between the laughs, the laid-back nights, and the fact that Jose kept coming back, it became clear this was a friendship built to last.

Jose and Callum share a bond that’s only grown stronger over the years — built on honest conversations, a shared love of Irish whiskey, and the kind of friendship that doesn’t fade with distance When Jose caught the garter at Callum and Katie's wedding, none of us knew it would be such a meaningful full-circle moment. And now, to have Callum standing here today as Jose begins his own married life — it’s a beautiful reminder of how deep and lasting real friendships can be He’s a man of loyalty, laughter, and heart — and we’re so grateful to have him here today

Their friendship might have started recently, but it’s already filled with great memories — from intense rounds of Marvel Rivals, to hot pot dinners, and bonding over their shared love of soccer. Sometimes, you meet someone and just click — and that’s exactly what happened with Jose and Eddie

Xander has a wonderful way of bringing joy and light wherever he goes. When he’s not busy spreading petals down the aisle today, he loves quietly coloring his favorite Bluey scenes — a little reminder of his creativity and gentle spirit.

We actually met Griffin before he was even born — back when he was still in Sam’s belly. Since then, we’ve gotten to watch him grow, share some smiles, and enjoy all the little milestones along the way.
