While these two aren’t exactly what one would describe as “High school-Sweethearts”, Alyssa Martinez and Brian Wolfe would pass each other in their shared high school for three years, but wouldn’t know just how important they would be in each other's lives for a long while after that.

During the Winter of 2018, Alyssa and Brian officially met one another at The Farmers Branch Aquatic Center during their winter break jobs. They would share coffee breaks and laughs during work and enjoy even the 5:30 am shifts alongside one another.

Just that following summer in 2019, Brian asked Alyssa out on their first date. They went to the movies and saw a film that was dull in comparison to the company of one another. Not long after this, Alyssa went on her trip to Mexico, and Brian made it a point to message her every day of her two-week trip.

By September 2019, their relationship was in full bloom! They attended their rival colleges (The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M), 100 miles apart. They would FaceTime every day and see each other as often as possible until they both graduated.

While the pair spent quite a few years living in different cities, their efforts towards spending time with one another proved to be nothing short of exceptional. They knew that an extra special effort would be needed from both of them in order to maintain their relationship. Zoom would become their favorite restaurant and the mundane parts of studying became their most consistent type of date. They learned how to incorporate one another into their day to day routines to minimize just how long distance their relationship was.

By 2022, Alyssa and Brian were finally living in the same city! They were able to meet and see each other's families, and friends and just enjoy each other's company without the two-hour drive. Brian proposed in September of 2023 and now we get to count down the days until they say I Do!
