Hotel and Transport - More Details

Dear beloved guests, Our wedding venue is 45 minutes east of downtown Ottawa. Of course you are welcome to stay anywhere you like in the area, and to get to-and-from our wedding in any way you wish! But for your convenience, we have arranged an optional shuttle service to-and-from our wedding venue from the RiverRock Inn hotel in the town of Clarence-Rockland. The RiverRock Inn is a quaint, small, peaceful hotel by the Ottawa river, just 15 minutes drive from our wedding venue, with ample parking and continental breakfast included. You can see some photos of the hotel below. On the day of our wedding, a shuttle bus will be available free of charge to take you to our wedding venue at Bean Town. The pick-up time will be 2:45pm on 26 July 2026 at the hotel. At the end of the night, the shuttle bus will be available to take you from our wedding venue back to the hotel at 10:30pm and 12:30am. You do not need to be staying at the hotel to use the shuttle; you are more than welcome to drive or uber/taxi to the hotel and use the shuttle from there, and similarly to take the shuttle back to the hotel at the end of the night. If you choose to book with the hotel, we suggest you do so early, as there are limited rooms available. Make sure you use the hotel's website to book online; if you use a third party website you will not find any availability at the hotel. IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE BOOKING OR FINDING AVAILABILITY ONLINE, JUST CALL THEM! They're lovely and very helpful! The hotel’s cancellation policy is very relaxed, requiring only 48 hours notice for a full refund. For those planning to arrive at the hotel on 26 July 2026, you can pre-pay a $40 early-check-in fee to have a guaranteed check-in at 1:30 pm instead of the standard 4:00 pm check-in time. This way you can drop your bags off and get changed for the wedding before the shuttle bus arrives. To pre-pay the early check-in fee, leave a note in the “additional comments” section of the online booking, and/or call the hotel to confirm. Note that the hotel has only two floors with no elevators, so if stairs pose an issue for any in your party you can request for a ground floor room. Note that our wedding venue at Bean Town Receptions has plenty of parking, but there is very little cab or Uber service at our wedding venue.
