When and where is the wedding taking place?

We're having a very intimate ceremony with immediate family on the evening of Friday, September 19th. The celebration of our wedding with friends and family will be held on September 20th, 2025, at Stafford County Park in Port Hope, MI. The celebration will begin at 4:00PM and end at 8:00PM.

What's the dress code?

This is a fun and low key celebration! Please feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Stafford County Park is a beach, so you may want to take that into consideration.

Will the Celebration be Indoors or Outdoors?

Both! As long as the weather is good there is both indoor and outdoor space at the venue. If there is inclement weather, we will utilize the large indoor space.

Where should I stay?

If you enjoy camping, there are full hookups and rustic sites at Stafford County Park. There are a limited number of small hotels in the thumb (see the "travel" section of our wedding website) as well as lots beautiful Air BnBs and VRBOS.

Is there transprotation?

Unfortunately, services like Lyft, Uber, and public transportation are not available in the thumb. Some of the small local hotels in the area may offer a shuttle service. It's best to check with them directly.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! Free parking is available at the venue.

Will you have a registry?

Yes, our registry information can be found at https://www.theknot.com/us/alyssa-nicol-and-sean-hammontree-sep-2025/registry . However, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift.

Will you be accommodating dietary restrictions?

Our celebration is being catered by Lewisville Smoke in Port Hope, MI. We plan to have chicken, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw, potatoes and an assortment of fresh fruits and veggies. What time should I arrive?

An early, casual buffet style dinner will be available from 4:00-5:30, come anytime in that time frame to eat some bbq! Snacks, desserts and drinks will be available throughout the evening.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes! Beer and wine will be available as well as non-alcoholic options.

What's the seating arrangement?

Our celebration is open-house style. Come any time from 4:00-8:00PM. There is no seating arrangement. The tables at the venue are picnic table style. We'll have a limited number of camp chairs, but please feel free to bring your own chair or a cushion if that would be more comfortable.
