In an old train station, you can find the cutest little pottery shop! Full of pieces from locals at very reasonable prices.

Cute little board walk on the beach, beach volleyball courts and beach access. There are often food trucks hanging around too.

Trails along the beach, that allow for beach access. Very accessible path.

Cathedral Grove

If you are making your way over to Tofino and even if you aren’t it is worth the drive. Walk through some of the oldest and tallest trees in Canada. Explore the 800-year-old Douglas Fir, Grand Firs, Western Hemlocks and Western Red Cedar trees. Be careful when crossing the street around there.

Treat yourself to a luxurious spa day, including a mineral pool, whirlpool, cold waterfall, cedar barrel saunas, garden patio seating and a relaxation lounge. They provide you with robes, towels, and sandals, as well as hydration station. Would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a relaxing activity. If you’re feeling really bad, book yourself in for the Tree Top Tapas after, you won’t regret it, but you will roll out of there!

Vancouver Island has the highest concentration of caves in North America and more explored limestone caves than in all other Canadian Provines combined. There are over 1200 km2 of caved feature to explore.

Great breads and pastries located a short distance away from Parksville. Qualicum Beach is a cute little town to check out, with book stores, clothing stops and bakeries.

The Wildlife Recovery Center is a non-profit facility that cares for ill, injured or orphaned wildlife. Check out the eagles, owls, turtles and bears!

An absolute must stop! Not only are there actually goats on the roof but there are fresh donuts, ice cream. A great whimsical stop to make on the tour.

Make sure to walk all the way up the street past the fruit market and Italian restaurants to the goat’s pen in the back and you can pet them!

Check out the wood carvings, very eccentric and larger than life!

There is tons of stuff to check out around here from the locals potters and thrift store across the bridge to the mushroom shop and Dutch candy store down the opposite way. You can definitely spend lots of time here.

Great fish and chips right on the ocean. Be sure to try a Pineapple Dole Whip for dessert!
