Travel to Montana

Flights

If you plan on flying to Montana for our elopement here's a few tips!

You'll be flying into Glacier International Airport located in Kalispell, MT.

We recommend buying your flights in July 2023 for our wedding on June 22nd, 2024 as this will be the most affordable flights there are. Google flights seems to have the best prices but Kayak can also be useful!

Accommodations

With any accomodation you may be seeking during your stay you want to book about a year in advance (or as early as possible) for the best prices and the most vacancy. AirBnB also offers a variety of options in and around West Glacier that may suit your needs so we recommend checking that out!

Want to feel the ruggedness of the outdoors? You can also camp inside Glacier National Park (will need a camping pass) and this should also be booked about a year in advance. If this is the option you're choosing, you can camp in a tent but please be bear aware. Also, there are times bears enter the campground and thus, we recommend a hard sided camper but trust me, it's still very safe in a tent!

Due to the drier climate, there are times of the year where camp fires are banned or limited due to high fire risk. Please note that you may not be able to have a campfire if you're camping.

Transportation

For transportation; your best bet is to rent a car! You're in luck because the airport has a concierge desk so you can rent a car with no hassle!

If that option isn't ideal there is a car rental place right across from the airport called "Thrifty".

If you want to call ahead of time their number is (406) 758-2220 which we recommend during the summer months.

Glacier National Park also offer "Red bus tours" and a shuttle system for going through the park and Going to the Sun Road.

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is a family friendly and accessible park with hiking trails, glaciers, clear water, mountains and wildlife for all to enjoy!

If you're looking to extend your stay for the wedding and explore Big Sky Country, there are a few things you should know...

Glacier Park Passes

Park passes are required for both your vehicle AND each individual for entry to Glacier National Park. These passes grant you access to the great outdoors and should be purchased a year before you plan to visit, as they will sell out fast. OR you can go into the park before 6 am or after 3 pm with NO entrance pass, BUT YOU STILL NEED A VEHICLE PASS. This all can be found on the website below.
