Melissa is the "baby" sister of the bride (Brandie and Melissa are fraternal twins, separated by 2 minutes). Growing up together, people often mistook Amanda and Melissa as the twins in the family. Both were band geeks (Amanda with the clarinet & Melissa with the oboe and flute), marching together in Amanda's senior year and Melissa's junior year of high school. Melissa currently lives in Mount Pleasant, MI.

Ethan and Sean have been best friends since they were in elementary school. They lived right down the street from each other growing up, and they became very close while playing on the same traveling soccer team. Some of their fondest memories growing up include going to Geauga Lake (back when it was still a thing), seeing Journey in concert, and making fun of one another on a daily basis. Sean is a highly decorated officer serving in the United States Navy and is currently stationed in London, England.

Brandie and Amanda argued for most of their childhood (unfortunately for their mom), because they both are strong, outspoken, independent women. Their relationship grew stronger once Amanda moved an hour away for college at the University of Michigan. Brandie went to school at MSU, and they have an agreement to not talk about the U of M vs. MSU football game for at least a week afterwards. Brandie currently lives in East Lansing, MI.

Ethan and Joe have also known each other since elementary school as they also played soccer together growing up. They became very close during high school and their friendship continued to grow in college after they lived together for four years. Even after living together, Joe and Ethan still hung out at least once a week, and Joe was able to get to know many of Ethan's pharmacy classmates as well, including Amanda. It was Joe that gave Ethan the extra push he needed to officially ask Amanda out, and the three of them have shared countless adventures over the past 5 years, such as the Taco Bell eating challenge that put Ethan in the hospital and completing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Joe is currently pursuing his PhD in mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh.

Alex and Ethan became good friends in high school after learning that they both had a knack for quoting lines from Seinfeld and Celebrity Jeopardy. Alex's house was typically the place where everyone would meet up to hang out, play games, and raid his food cabinet. Alex gave Ethan the nickname "The Captain" after Ethan once ordered a seafood entrée from Perkins called "The Captain's Catch" that was a bit subpar to say the least. They have also shared many memories playing video games, golfing, and conversing about the Ohio State Buckeyes. Alex is a hedge fund manager living in New York City.

Karen and Amanda have been best friends for almost 20 years. They have done many things together over the years, including Book Bowl (similar to quiz bowl) and marching band. After undergraduate graduation, they spent 3 weeks traveling around Europe (with Karen's now-husband, Peter). Despite the craziness that life brings, they remain forever friends. Karen lives in Lansing, MI with her husband and 3 beautiful children.

Alyssa didn't like Amanda much when they first met in 4th grade. She thought Amanda was "that nerdy girl," and she was right. But it didn't take long for them to become friends. Church youth group trips, sleepovers, and black Friday shopping trips built the foundation for their relationship. Alyssa currently lives in Knoxville, TN with her dog, Molly.

Ethan's first encounter with Kyle occurred during middle school when Kyle thought it would be funny to slam Ethan's trapper-keeper in a WWE-fashion resulting in the decimation of Ethan's calculator. Eventually Ethan would forgive Kyle for such a heinous act, and they became very good friends in college while at Ohio State. They spent countless weekends waking up, getting Chinese food for lunch, watching whatever sporting event was going on at that time, and then playing Mario Kart into the late night. Kyle is a purchasing manager for Marzetti in Columbus, Ohio.

Marius was another of Ethan's college friends who Ethan spent numerous hours watching Ohio State football games and just hanging out with. After college, Marius began developing more of a taste for craft beer and home-brewing, which he does in his spare time. Ethan and Amanda have joined Marius for the Cleveland Local Brews/Local Grooves beer festival for the past three years and hope to continue the annual tradition for years to come. Ethan still doesn't exactly know what Marius does but it has something to do with computers and he lives in Cleveland, Ohio.

Katie and Amanda met in 7th grade English class and became fast friends. They would try to go to at least one Detroit Tigers game a year together. She even let Ethan tag along once he came into Amanda's life. Although she is a dedicated Michigan State fan, she visited Amanda while she was in Ann Arbor and Columbus for school. They continue to grab breakfast or drinks (or both) whenever Amanda makes it back to Michigan. Katie currently lives in their hometown of Flushing, MI with her 2 dogs and multiple cats.

Amanda and Ethan became close friends with Calvin during the first week of pharmacy school at Ohio State (despite Ethan initially insulting Calvin for his University of Kentucky roots). Ethan and Calvin formed a strong bond over their mutual love of food and Ohio State football. One Saturday within the first month of pharmacy school, Ethan went over to Calvin's apartment and the two of them spent the entire day eating wings and watching college football. Ethan and Calvin also lived together for two years while in pharmacy school and Calvin has been involved in the bride and groom's lives ever since. Calvin is a pharmacist currently living in New York City.

Kayla is the older sister of the groom. It seems as though Kayla has always had a premonition that Ethan would date a wolverine as she got Ethan an Ohio State/Michigan "House Divided" decoration even before he started dating Amanda. Since then, she has always been sure to get the bride and groom something paying homage to the Rivalry including a chessboard, a mini-cornhole set, and a banner. Kayla currently lives in Warren, OH.
