The Wedding Day Timeframe

*Please note that the timeline is NOT finalized, but rather a rough idea of how the special day will unfold. Some edits may be updated, so please keep it in mind. Thank you!

3:30 PM (15:30) ~ Guests Arriving!

Invited guests come pouring in a half-hour before the ceremony. It is recommended for our guests to go freshen-up and use the faculties before heading to the gazebo. Please do not forget the ceremony will begin 4 o'clock on the dot! Also important, this is an UNPLUG ceremony, so please silent or turn off your phones. Arrive there early to enjoy pre-ceremony music.

4:00 PM (16:00) ~ Let the Ceremony Commence!

Witness the transition from a Hampe to an Ososky where the bride and the groom will tie the knot under the iconic gazebo. What kind of knot will it be? The answer may surprise you. Please be sure have pocket tissues ready in case of happy tears.

4:30 PM (16:30) ~ A Brief Intermission...

Concluding the ceremony marks a quick break before the reception. At this point of time, please feel free to refresh, use the facilities, and find your group of people, or perhaps meet someone new!  UPDATE: We will take the opportunity to do family photos and the wedding party photos at this time. The families are as follows: Ososky, Huwe, Hampe, Vermaat

... With Cocktails!

The party continues upstairs in the venue's Stout and Ledger Room. As you head up, you will see a complimentary bar (opens at 5 o'clock) where you can procure cocktails of any kind. Please be sure to tip your bartenders! There are no assigned seating, so you and your group can pick any spot you would like, but please keep in mind each table holds up 10 people each.

5:30 PM (17:30) ~ Meet the Wedding Party!

The moment you all have been waiting for: The announcer will call out the wedding party including the newlyweds!

Heading for the Buffet!

After introductions from the Wedding Party, it is Bon Appetit! Dinner is now served! Enjoy the meals the venue has to offer from chicken to fish and even pasta! We also have special dishes for those with dietary restrictions and food allergies. Beverages are also available from wine to coffee (for the cake), and dessert will be served shortly.

6:30 PM (18:00) ~ Two Toasts & The Cake Cutting!

After a good meal from the buffet, the fathers of the bride and groom will give a toast along with a heartfelt speech. Prepare the champagne glasses (and sparkling juice or favorite drink for the children)! Then, follow the Cake Cutting where the Mr. and Mrs. will, with dexterity and precision, cut the wedding cake. Hence will be the dessert of the course (will recommend with coffee, the bride's favorite).

7:00 PM (19:00) ~ Dedicating Dancing...

After dessert, there will be three dedicated dancing before everybody dances the night away. The order will go as follows:The Bride &amp; GroomFather &amp; DaughterMother &amp; Son

... & A Toss of Some Kind?

We were told that there will a be a toss after the dedicated dances. What kind is it? We ask of our guests to stick around to find out! ;)

Now... EVERYBODY DANCE!

Time to go bust a move or two! Song requests are allowed as long they are rated PG (there are children about). We may have some fun classic reception songs for everyone to dance along to, both fast and slow.

10:00 PM (22:00) ~ The Celebration Concludes

Every good day has to come to the end, but the adventure continues on.No pomp or circumstance here. We just want to thank our guests for being here and celebrate with us. Please be sure you have your personal belongings with you as you leave and drive home or your hotel room safely (or walking safely if you book a hotel room next door).

Wedding Timeframe

The Tale Begins with the Hat...

Rewinding back to January of 2017... Amanda volunteers for Marklund in Geneva, IL. For years she lost track counting, she would go to outings with the residents, supervisors, and other volunteers. One of the outings in particular was a Target retail store in North Aurora. The group went in together, gathered the essentials for the residents and proceeded to the checkout. Amanda went to the checkout as well for she got a couple of things she wanted to purchase. While waiting, she noticed a young man with a fashionable fedora hat, mutely grey with the black trim and a feather as a charming embellishment. She took a liking for that certain hat, as she was getting into fedora hats at the time. "I like your hat!" Amanda expresses her compliment to the man in front of her. The man turns to her, probably wanted to say thanks or whatever Amanda thinks what he would say. Instead, he paused and took a look at her for the moment. Then he asked, "Have we meet somewhere before?" Eyes a bit widen from surprise, but she then swiftly responded, "No, I don't think so." Amanda would think, if they had ever meant before, it would be in a community college. In this moment, it was the first time they met. Then it foreshadows it will not be the last, for one of the supervisors noticed. Something, something, checking each other out, something, something, chemistry brewing, something, something, sparks! Amanda giggled at the notion, being all about, yeah, she wanted to compliment the hat that the man was wearing. She didn't think it wasn't anything more. Until, after more trips to the same Target for outings, Amanda started to see more of the same man, who was apparently an employee there. It was more evident that she became interested. He is quite a handsome fellow, and it was enough that she wants to muster up the courage to ask him out. Her Marklund group were supportive of her, and even it was stalker-like behavior, Amanda's intentions were truthfully not malicious. She was trying to make that first move for the first time in her life. Because, how often a woman asks a man out when it's usually the other way around? Then, in June of the same year, on that Tuesday evening on a Marklund outing in Target, it was now or never. With little time to spare as the bus getting ready to depart, Amanda went to find the man she was interested in. She found him nearby the changing room, still in uniform, and got his attention. She then introduced herself, and bravely asked him would he like to go out for some coffee. She mentally prepared for a rejection, so she was genuinely surprised when the man replied "Sure." They exchanged numbers, so they can figured out the first date later. Until then, Amanda returns to her Marklund group triumphant and she told them the news of having a new date. That handsome young fellow whom she had courageously asked out, and succeed, was Stefan. Needless to say, the rest of history.

The Tale Concludes with the Couch...

Fast-forwarding to the June of 2024... As a fun day trip to get away from the hefty roles and responsibilities, the couple traveled to St. Louis, Missouri. There, they toured the famous architecture, The Arch, where Amanda bravely rides to the very top for the first time. For Stefan, it was the second time. When they reached the summit, it was worth the courage to see the breathtakingly views of the city. They concluded the tour with the museum under The Arch where they displayed countless history of lore. After having lunch at a local pub, they went to the St. Louis Art Museum, where they partake in the historical and modern arts. Paintings, sculptures, mixed media, it was fine arts heaven for aspiring artist like Amanda. It seems like hours walking about the hallways. Then the day trip was about to end. The couple left the city to travel back home and stopped to have dinner along the way. Perhaps it was the mind playing tricks on her, but Amanda had this strange feeling lately. The timeline goes like this: They have been dating since 2017... Amanda moved in with Stefan at the apartments on the summer of 2021... They bought a house together in a nick of time on 2023, and have been living there since... And yet, as some would wondered, why no proposing yet? Why not putting a ring on it? For 8 years, no question was popped. Until that very moment... The couple arrived home that evening after that fun yet exhausting day trip. Already, Amanda sat the couch and began to untie her shoes, her mind focused on the task. Without any warning, Stefan took out the blue box and opened it. Then he asked her, "Will you marry me?" Caught off guard, Amanda swiftly responded, "Wait, what?" All day she had thought she was going to get proposed either on the very summit of the St. Louis Arch, or outside of the St. Louis Art Museum. But never had it crossed her mind that she would get proposed on that very couch in their living room while she was untying her shoes. It was a little romantic for a setting and circumstance, but Amanda wouldn't have it in other way. Regardless, after she realized what was going on, she then answered, "Yes." And again, the rest is history. But their future has just begun.

"Do you have a timeline or timeframe of your wedding day?"

Yes, they are listed under the Wedding Day Timeframe tab (coming soon!) on our website. They are fully detailed and you can refer to them at any time. We will do our best to keep in schedule.

"How do I respond to the RSVP?"

Simply scan the QR code or type in the URL listed on the invitation. It should take you to the RSVP section, or you can find the RSVP tab on our website. Please Respond swiftly by or before: Friday, September 12th, 2025

"What if I needed to change my RSVP?"

If changes are needed, please get back with us before the RSVP date, which is Friday, September 12th, 2025. While changes are no issue, please be sure you finalized your decision.

"Can I bring a Plus One?"

Unless your received invitation states a Plus One, you cannot bring a guest with you. This is due to the guest count we can hold and afford.

"Can I bring my child/children to the event?"

As long they are named in the invitation, then yes. Otherwise, we will recommend getting a babysitter or caregiver. There is nothing personal, this is due to the guest count we can hold and afford for the venue.

"What is the suitable attire for the event?"

The attire for this event is business causal. You may have already procured the outfit in your closet. In any case, here are the guidelines below. For the Ladies: a nice flowy (A-Line) dress, blouse or skirt, dress pants or khakis, dress suit, shirt or vest. For the Gentlemen: a nice dress suit, shirt or vest, dress pants or khakis. If a flowy skirt is comfortable for you, please wear it (we will not judge). Extra credit (optional): Tints and Shades of Pink and Green (no neon please). Fun accessories like jewelry and bowties (because bowties are cool!) Flower hairclips would be cool to see too! "Is there any transportation to the venue?"

There are no transportation to the venue at this time.

"Any recommendations for a hotel?"

Our highest recommendation for the hotel is the one right next door to the venue. The same hotel is also what we will highly recommended for our wedding party. We also included some others nearby in the Travel tab of the website.

"Any recommendations for wedding gifts?" 

In regards of wedding gifting, our highest recommendation will be monetary donations to go towards improving our house and funds for our honeymoon. However, we welcome any gifts listed in our Registry.

Can I take pictures of the ceremony and/or reception?

We ask all to NOT take out your phones and take pictures during the ceremony. We will let the professionals of the TWA Photographic Artists to capture wonderful moments. We planned to put together a DVD album for all guests as a memorable party favor after the wedding. Taking personal pictures with the bride and groom and with people are okay during the reception. However, please do keep them at the minimum or take the pictures outside of the Stout &amp; Lager Room.

"What if I am a minute late if two for the ceremony?"

The good news is that you can still witness the ceremony via the windows to the gazebo. The bad news is that you cannot enter once the ceremony begins. That said, we will highly recommend being early rather than on time so you won't be closed out (doors closed on you). About 10-15 minutes early before the ceremony will be the ideal.

"Can I request a song for the reception?"

Yes, you can! Our DJ from Spinnin Discs will be happy to play any song you can think of!We will ask that your song requests be at PG and maybe PG-13 since we do have children running (or dancing) about.

"When do we get the food? What about drinks?"

We will have the buffet styled dinner during the reception with no seating arrangements. We will also have special dishes for those with dietary restrictions and food allergies. Please wait for everyone to get their first dish before getting seconds. As for drinks, we have a compliment cocktail at the bar between ceremony and reception. There will be coffee and decaf coffee to go with the cake. More detailed information about what kind of food and drinks served will be found on the Buffet Menu tab on this website.

Since You're Here, Why Not Stay a Little Longer?

We understand that our wedding party and guests may come from long and far to our event, so we took the liberty of providing hotel options for their stay. Below are the hotels that are nearby the venue. Links for the hotel website is simply a click of the button. If staying, we would recommend the timeframe of Saturday until Monday. This will give time to rest and prep, and to recover the day after. If living closer to the event, staying is not required. In any case, please arrange anything that works for you and, if planning to stay longer, book in for your rooms.

Amanda here! I decided to post chorological updates for our event in this section. Your invitations will still come to you. Long story short, I got a rough start into the new year and I wanted to get out the save the dates as soon as I can. You will have the opportunity to arrange time off and getting hyped up for the event in progress. I may even post up some facts and some art along the way. You'll never know until you checked here often. ;) That said, please expect changes and additions to the website. Working in progress is better than no progress at all. ~ 01.29.2025 ~The engagement announcement picture seen here is used to test numerous pixel sizes for Save the Date cards. The real picture with improved pixels can be found on Amanda's social media. Her design was inspired by the engagement ring and was drawn a couple of days after the announcement. The date that marked the Day of Engagement is written on the top left of the design, just above her fiancé's initials. It's important to note that one area of the design (under the artist's initials) is blank, which depicts that the wedding date was not set during that time. One of Amanda's signature art styles are drawing these bubbly adorable characters she called Super Plushies. They are seen here as angels hovering around the glowing design. The work was done traditionally and digitally, which the artist likes to do when creating art.

~ 02.07.2025 ~The SAVE THE DATE cards has arrived and soon to be mailed this upcoming weekend! Pinks and greens are the main wedding colors as depicted on the cards, along with a little hint of ivory. The banner got updated with not just a glow up and little elements, but also with another date marked The Day of Matomory under the bride's initials. More Super Plushies with angel wings fluttered around the couple (front) and framing the QR Code (back). The photo is custorsy of the Mother of the Groom, which it was taken during Christmas 2024. Beautiful shot!

~ 02.10.2025 ~ In regards of the SAVE THE DATE cards; the ones on the bride’s side was been dropped off in the post office box and in the process of being delivered. The groom’s side is in the process of getting the cards ready to go as we speak. They will be delivered by the end of the week. Special shout out to my Aunt Roseanne who had gathered the guests’ sending info! Your effort did not go unnoticed. And thanks to my parents who helped out too!

~ 06.12.2025 ~It's been a very long time, my apologies for my inactiveness. But I come with plentiful news for the wedding planning! First important thing is that both the cake tasting and the food tasting concluded with flying colors. My fiancé and I had selected the refreshments you will expect during the reception (including specials plates for those with allergies). You will soon see a bountiful buffet and a certain cake that will fulfill a chocolate lover's and a sweet tooth's dream! More details will be included as the wedding day draws near. Second important thing is that the official invitations are in the works, and they are almost done! All I needed to do are adding definition to the characters and finalized the RSVP date. I do know that the RSVP month will be August, so this is a good time to be sure you have time off for the event (and plan for travel if needed). I plan to finish and order the cards this month, and God-willing, I will send them out in July. Expect an original art from yours truly (no gen AI here). That is all for now. ~ 07.29.2025 ~The invitations are a go from last Saturday of this update! They are dropped off at the post office and soon to be on their way to your mailboxes! If you happen to see an adorable picture of the couple as Super Plushies in our wedding colors (the picture below), that indicated the invite! The only thing that had changed that the RSVP month will be September, exactly one month before the wedding. Good news, you got extra time! And since I'm being extra, I decided to include some fun stickers as party favors for those who attend.

~ 09.21.2025 ~ RSVP Date has been extended for one more week!Sunday 09.28.2025It has come to my attention that under half of our guest list has not yet responded. So I decided to extend the RSVP date. I will like everyone, whether or not you can attend, to respond swiftly as soon as possible. We would like to have the final guest count before our last appointment with the venue. For those who had already responded, thank you so much and we are looking forward seeing you at the event! Also! The Wedding Timeframe is in the Works!After this upcoming Sunday will be when the tab published. This is so you can have an idea how the special day will unfold. That is all for now! I am questioning whether or not to drop hints of what the dress looked like (because superstitions and what not). In the next update, perhaps I will once I come up with cryptic hints.

~10.12.2025~ TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Holy moly, it is happening! What a Hype! (Guess who’s doing the update on a mobile phone instead of a desktop? This gal! Lol!) I figured that while we are waiting for the special moment that is the ceremony, I am going to provide three hints of what the wedding dress will look like. The hints are as follows: 1. Since the event is a non-traditional wedding, the dress will also be non-traditional. 2. The dress is considered my Magnum Opus. Once you see it, it shall showcase all I learned and experienced in my almost 4 years of being an Alteration Specialist. 3. Of all the gowns that the bridal shop I work in offered, there is not a single of this certain garment type displayed. Or a bodice-like style of it. Happy Guessing! And I can’t wait to see you all today! Be sure to have pocket tissues ready (you know who you are)! ;)
