The story starts almost a decade ago on a rocky dirt path in the middle of Huntingdon, PA when Joe and Amanda met at Juniata College’s freshman orientation. Amanda was spitting sunflower seeds off the path while Joe, having never experienced the wonders of a country girl, laughed and happily continued supplying the seeds.

Fast forward four years and Joe sent a message to Amanda asking if she still had pizza left over from a chemistry event (that he did not attend). While there was unfortunately no pizza left, from that simple interaction on they were inseparable.

After undergrad, Amanda moved to Bala Cynwyd (just outside Philly) for graduate school, and Joe moved back home conveniently only a short train ride away. By the following January, Joe moved in with Amanda, they they adopted their doghter, Lola, and officially started this journey together. The next couple years were a busy time with Amanda moving to Antigua for medical school and Joe traveling the world for his career.

Three years later the two of them moved to Miami so Amanda could continue her journey to become a doctor. Joe meticulously planned a “surprise” anniversary trip to Bimini (a Bahamian island) where he popped the question surrounded by some of their closest their Miami friends.

We could not be more excited to continue this journey together and celebrate it all with you.
