Over the course of a week, messages turned into phone calls, and a month of heartfelt conversations spent getting to know each other over the phone before their first unconventional date on Saturday May 9th, 2020.

Despite the odd circumstances, meeting with masks on at Oceanside Beach in a time of societal disapproval of outdoor excursions, they enjoyed a long walk on the beach for hours, talking, laughing, and evading police warnings about sitting on the rocks trying to enjoy each other's company and the views of the ocean.

An added hilarious twist...the date was interrupted only by an accidental butt dial of a Face Time call to Amanda's mom, Mary, unwittingly chimed in virtually on the date which became a cherished memory.

After their beach adventure, Amanda invited Calvin to her new townhouse, to extend the date.

Calvin's admiration for her accomplishments only grew as she proudly showed him around.

Amanda offered to cook dinner, their first meal of what would be many!

The menu was shrimp in the air fryer paired with cauliflower rice, showing Calvin her commitment to healthy living.

After dinner they spent a cozy evening laughing over Joe Koy's comedy show on Netflix, keeping things light, fun and extra PG with pillows along with Amanda's furbabies Bruno & Brooklyn in between them.

As the night crept towards morning, Amanda offered Calvin the guest room, as Mother's Day dawned, Calvin made the heartfelt decision to drive back home, but their connection had already been sealed with a good night kiss.

From that moment, their bond grew stronger, leading them from swiping right to sharing "I do's."
