From Swiping Right to "I Do"

Amanda turned to facebook dating app for a distraction in April of 2020 when a Presidents Club trip to the Dominican Republic she worked so very hard to earn was cancelled all because of the pandemic.God had a different plan that lead to a match made in heaven she just did not know it yet.Due to feeling a bit lost and lonely in the midst of the global chaos Amanda starting swiping on facebook dating app leading her to Calvin's Genuine, Charming &amp; Handsome Profile. Meanwhile, Calvin was focused, immersed in online courses for his Master's degree in IT, along with following his passion as a music producer mixing beats.Calvin also was starting to feel uneasy with the world upside down, decided to try out Facebook dating app. Calvin after seeing Amanda's picture in a rose gold dress swiped right first and set their love story in motion.(Pictures from their Dating Profile they Swiped on is under How it all Began) Over the course of a week, messages turned into phone calls, and a month of heartfelt conversations spent getting to know each other over the phone before their first unconventional date on Saturday May 9th, 2020.Despite the odd circumstances, meeting with masks on at Oceanside Beach in a time of societal disapproval of outdoor excursions, they enjoyed a long walk on the beach for hours, talking, laughing, and evading police warnings about sitting on the rocks trying to enjoy each other's company and the views of the ocean. An added hilarious twist...the date was interrupted only by an accidental butt dial of a Face Time call to Amanda's mom, Mary, unwittingly chimed in virtually on the date which became a cherished memory. After their beach adventure, Amanda invited Calvin to her new townhouse, to extend the date.Calvin's admiration for her accomplishments only grew as she proudly showed him around.Amanda offered to cook dinner, their first meal of what would be many!The menu was shrimp in the air fryer paired with cauliflower rice, showing Calvin her commitment to healthy living. After dinner they spent a cozy evening laughing over Joe Koy's comedy show on Netflix, keeping things light, fun and extra PG with pillows along with Amanda's furbabies Bruno &amp; Brooklyn in between them.As the night crept towards morning, Amanda offered Calvin the guest room, as Mother's Day dawned, Calvin made the heartfelt decision to drive back home, but their connection had already been sealed with a good night kiss.From that moment, their bond grew stronger, leading them from swiping right to sharing "I do's."Amanda and Calvin's love story proved that even in the midst of the world under uncertainty, love finds a way to flourish in God's Plan!

Parking at La Jolla Cove can be difficult to find, especially on a weekend afternoon.
