Amanda and Kevin's story aligns with a common TikTok trend known as the "Invisible String Theory." Although, not tested and therefore, not proven by any scientific source, the "Invisible String Theory" idealizes that the universe will bring two people together at the perfect time, despite having many connections which could have brought them together earlier.

The most notable connection that the two had was through Kevin's younger sister, Stacy, as Amanda went to high school with her. However, Amanda never met Kevin once throughout those 4 years. The next connection was through swimming. Kevin and Amanda were both competitive swimmers and despite being on neighboring club and high school swim teams, their paths never crossed. This brings us to their third connection, their mutual friends that they had through swimming; however, they were not introduced that way either.

In early May of 2019, Amanda was studying for her final exams, with her close friend and now bridesmaid, Dom, in the library. She received a call from Stacy asking her if she had ever heard of a "Ring Dance," and if she'd be willing to go as her brother's, Kevin, date in Annapolis, MD, in a few weeks. To Amanda, it sounded like a fun weekend away to kick off the summer, so she, without hesitation, agreed to go, even though she still had never met Kevin.

About two weeks later, on May 18, 2019, Amanda and Kevin finally met on the day of Ring Dance. It did not take either of them long to realize that they shared an undeniable connection. Following Ring Dance, the two met up in Manhattan for Fleet Week and then continued their budding romance while home in New Jersey. Although they both knew that their relationship would be unique since it would quickly become long-distance, neither of them ever wavered or questioned committing to each other. They always knew that their love would be worth it.
