What do I need to bring to get onto the Naval Academy yard?

Please bring a non-expired government issued Real ID or passport. Since it is in an active military base you will go through metal detectors and have any bags with you screened.

Do I need an ID for the reception?

Yes! The reception bar staff have full discretion to check all guests' IDs. Please bring a non-expired government issued photo ID, i.e. a driver's license, to the reception. You will also need one earlier in the day for the ceremony!

How do I get from a Kent Island hotel to the ceremony?

Charter buses will be picking up guests, who are staying at Kent Island hotels, at 12:30pm and bringing them to the USNA Chapel for the ceremony.

How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Charter buses will be provided to pick guests up from the Naval Academy and transport them to the reception/Kent Island. You also can Uber from your hotel on Kent Island to the reception but we recommend taking the charter bus back first. There will be alcohol served at the reception and we do NOT want anyone drinking and driving; therefore, we have provided charter buses for every guest to take advantage of!

How do I get from the reception back to my hotel?

Charter buses will be provided to take guests back to Kent Island hotels and the Annapolis City Dock at the end of the night. Since there will be alcohol served at the reception and we do NOT want anyone drinking and driving, we have provided charter buses for every guest to take advantage of!

Should I leave time for traffic?

Yes! If you are driving to/from the ceremony/reception, please allot time for traffic on the Bay Bridge. However, we do have charter buses that will be taking guests from Kent Island to the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception, and from the reception back to Kent Island hotels and downtown Annapolis at the end of the reception, which we strongly recommend guests take advantage of.
