Amanda & Kyle are both originally from small towns in Iowa. Kyle was born and raised in Malvern, while Amanda is from Fort Dodge. Both eventually moved to Ankeny which is where the two would meet on May 20th, 2020 through mutual friends. From that night forward, the two were inseparable. Most will joke that Kyle just never really left.

Their relationship continued to grow while they spent the summer with friends at the Bricktowne Apartment pool, boating on Saylorville lake, keeping the lights on at Whiskey River and surviving Covid & a derecho! Fun fact: Kyle moved Amandas belongings a total of four times the first year they met so thats how you know this is true love.

Kyle asked Amanda to officially be his girlfriend on August 2nd, 2020. Yes, that is also Kyles birthday- he didn’t want to have to remember too many dates!

A little while later, they adopted their dog, Tucker, who has brought them so much joy. One of their favorite things to do was to hop on a cart, cruise Briarwood golf course where Kyle was employed and take Tucker for runs. They have also spent the last couple of years road tripping to Branson, the Grand Canyon and Phoenix!

Kyle & Amanda loved the southwest so much they decided to move to Mesquite, Nevada for new job opportunities. However, before the big move Kyle had the surprise of a lifetime for Amanda.

On February 19th, 2022, the two were planning on meeting some friends for dinner. As they were leaving the house, Kyle insisted that that they take Tucker for runs at the golf course. Amanda agreed despite the cold, rainy weather. They started on their usual route when Kyle stopped the cart in front of the clubhouse, got down on one knee and popped the question. Their families came rushing out to celebrate.

Amanda said yes & the rest is history!
