Amanda &amp; Kyle are both originally from small towns in Iowa. Kyle was born and raised in Malvern, while Amanda is from Fort Dodge. Both eventually moved to Ankeny which is where the two would meet on May 20th, 2020 through mutual friends. From that night forward, the two were inseparable. Most will joke that Kyle just never really left.Their relationship continued to grow while they spent the summer with friends at the Bricktowne Apartment pool, boating on Saylorville lake, keeping the lights on at Whiskey River and surviving Covid &amp; a derecho! Fun fact: Kyle moved Amandas belongings a total of four times the first year they met so thats how you know this is true love.Kyle asked Amanda to officially be his girlfriend on August 2nd, 2020. Yes, that is also Kyles birthday- he didn’t want to have to remember too many dates!A little while later, they adopted their dog, Tucker, who has brought them so much joy. One of their favorite things to do was to hop on a cart, cruise Briarwood golf course where Kyle was employed and take Tucker for runs. They have also spent the last couple of years road tripping to Branson, the Grand Canyon and Phoenix!Kyle &amp; Amanda loved the southwest so much they decided to move to Mesquite, Nevada for new job opportunities. However, before the big move Kyle had the surprise of a lifetime for Amanda.On February 19th, 2022, the two were planning on meeting some friends for dinner. As they were leaving the house, Kyle insisted that that they take Tucker for runs at the golf course. Amanda agreed despite the cold, rainy weather. They started on their usual route when Kyle stopped the cart in front of the clubhouse, got down on one knee and popped the question. Their families came rushing out to celebrate.Amanda said yes &amp; the rest is history!

Kyle met Taylor at Briarwood Golf Club where  they were both employed & introduced Carly and Amanda shortly after. Ever since, they've spent countless nights playing cards, camping, & forcing their dogs to be girlfriend + boyfriend. These two are, without a doubt, the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Taylor is a sarcastic sweetheart, Carly is kind & goofy and both can make anyone feel welcome with their infectious personalities. Most of all, we love that they’re always down for a fun drinking game!

Emma is Amanda's younger sister and the most genuine human there ever has been. From being a shoulder to cry on to being her biggest cheerleader- Emma is Amanda's constant, her lifeline. And that's exactly why we love her so much. Although Emma is always crying (she's a bit of a sap!), she knows how to make people laugh & definitely knows how to make a good drink!

Ashlee is Amanda's younger sister and her very first best friend. Ashlee is strong, feisty and is always giggling. Ashlee and Amanda are opposites in many ways but in the 25 years they've been by each others side, they've come to realize that's what makes their relationship so special - they always balance each other out. Amanda and Kyle love her for all these reasons & more, but especially because she gave them the cutest nephew, Hudson, and niece, Brylee! 

Ashlee Lansman

Kyle has been buddies with Keegan since way back in elementary school. Throughout high school they played sports together and cruised the gravel roads in their free time. During their college years, Kyle would stop at SWICC to see Keegan & party it up. Now they both enjoy golfing together. We admire how kind and easy going Keegan is- the guy who can make friends with just about anyone!

Kyle and Travis have known each other since elementary school where they would ride the bus together and play Mario Kart everyday. After college, the two of them both moved to the Ankeny area and now like to spend their time golfing, boating and putting down some Busch Light. We love Travis for his killer dance moves, dirty jokes and his HUGE muscles!

Travis Tupper

Logan transferred schools in the 8th grade and Kyle was the one to show him around- they became instant best friends. They'd spend their high school days playing sports and hanging out on the weekends. Over the years, they have played in many golf tournaments together and now they are both superintendents at golf courses. Logan lived in New York and now Colorado to pursue his career. Although we don't get to see him as much as we'd hope, we love being around him because he is a kind, down to earth guy!

The venue & reception will be held at Millie's Getaway which is a beautiful lakefront home. Although we'd like every guest to be able to stay with us, there is a limit on the amount of guest we can have. If we have not asked you or indicated on your invitation that you're staying on the property with us, and wish to stay the night, please make arrangements at a nearby hotel or AirBnB. With that being said, we will be staying at Millie's Getaway from Thursday, August 17th to Monday, August 21st. Please feel free to join us during the days prior or after for games, boating, laying on the beach, etc!   Please see suggested hotels below & let us know if you have any questions!
