Q + A

What time should I get there?

The wedding will be starting at 4:30pm so we suggest getting there a little bit early if you would like to mingle and find a seat before the ceremony begins. If you don't know if you will be able to make it to the ceremony, the reception is to follow and should start around 5pm

Is the ceremony and reception inside or outside?

The ceremony will be outside right by the bay. The wedding reception will also be outside but it is going to be under a tent with permanent marble flooring. However, during the night feel free to leave the tent and check out the surrounding areas of the property such as the fire pit and lawn.

Will there be wheel chair accessibility at the venue?

Yes! We know that this is very important and so does our venue. At the estate there is some big hills, so they provide a golf cart for anyone that has a hard time walking. They will be able to bring you to the ceremony area and the reception area as you need.

What is the dress code?

We want everyone to be comfortable at our wedding. I describe it as a big fancier BBQ. So we do ask that you do dress up but don't feel obligated to break out that 3 piece suit or that fancy cocktail dress. For men a nice polo or button up and some jeans, or for women a nice sun dress and a nice pair of sandals. Keep in mind we are getting married outside and it will also be in the middle of July, so the heat will be a factor.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There is a big lot on the venue where people can park. Even though the lot if fairly big it will only be able to hold so many cars so we do ask that if it is possible to car pool you please do so to make the process go smoother. There will also be people directing traffic at the venue when you arrive to help with this process.

I am visiting from out of town how do I get there and what is there to do?

I am glad you asked! Under the travel tab we have provided multiple ways to get to the wedding along with places to stay and how to get around once you are here. Then under the things to do tab we have listed a bunch of activities for everyone and some great restaurants as well if you want to make it a vacation!

Can I bring my kids?

ABSOLUTLY!!! We both think children liven up a party! This is a kid friendly ceremony and reception. There will be activities for the kids as well. We do just ask that when you are RSVPing that you let us know if you will be bring your children so we can let vendors know and so we can also get plenty of crayons! Also we understand that children can be fussy sometimes so don't feel embarrassed if they start to act out during the ceremony, we completely get it, and there is no need to worry!

What kind of food and drink will there be?

We are going to be having BBQ!!! Yes! Pulled Pork, Chicken, Mac N' Cheese, Corn Bread!! As for drinks we will be having two signature drinks that can also be made into mocktails for anyone not wanting alcohol. Beer, sodas, and water will also be available

Is it open bar?

Yes!! It is open bar, however, while supplies last. We are the ones suppling the bar so when things run out then that will be it. We will try to make sure that we don't run out but you know things do happen. We also ask that just because it is open bar that you don't forget to tip the servers. They are going to be working real hard for us to have a great time and we want to make sure that they know we appreciate them!

Can we take pictures?

During the ceremony we do ask that you don't take pictures. We want everyone to be present during that time to share that moment with us. We promise we won't make it boring and it will be quick. During the reception however, take as many pictures as you want and share them on social media! Just remember it is an open bar so there might be some embarrassing photos posted. So take photos and drink at your own risk!
