Our Wedding

Our story began in 2018 when a mutual friend (Monica; my bridesmaid) thought Mauricio and I would be a great fit for each other, her hyping us up to each other. We decided to exchange snapchats. After about a month or so of getting to know each other on a personal level with mischief conversations to sarcastic humor we decided it was time to meet each other in person and go on a "date". Which obviously went GREAT! Entering into 2019 we started to see each other a lot more few more months in we agreed on introducing our children to each other Aiden, Mia, and Allen; and there was an instant bond. A few years passed along with some ups and downs, some tears, but most of all lots of laughter and love together. We knew this is what we wanted forever. Fast forwarding to March 3rd 2023 we got ENGAGED in the comfort of our home. Thanks to our kids and our friends for helping Mauricio put together such a memorable night that I will forever cherish. Now a year later we are finally wedding planning. We are so excited to have our closest friends and family with us to celebrate this new beginning of our life!

You'll find the locals to be warm, welcoming, and lively! That said, it is in very poor taste to flash your wealth out in public so please err on the side of caution and courtesy. Save your finery for the wedding!

Travel Information

Welcome to Cali Colombia!  Do's - Use small bags/ purses/backpacks (wear in the front of you when in large crowds) - Try out all the fruits after cleaning them properly. - Eat arepas, empanadas, grilled corn, almojabanas, some freshly baked bread.  - Buy some sweets (panelitas are my vice)  -Drink hot cocoa with cheese (Dunk the cheese inside the chocolate and eat it with a spoon. Don't knock it until you try it).  -Drink Coffee daily!  - Only carry one credit card at a time leave the rest somewhere safe in your hotel. Also, only carry the amount of cash you are going to need for the day. I usually don't carry more than $250,000 pesos and that's still overkill for most of what you would want to buy.  -Be polite and not slam the ubers car door.    Don't - Use flashy clothes, jewelry, shoes.  - Hail a cab from the street, they will hear your accent and rip you off. UBER is your friend.  - Go out on your own at night.  - Forget to drink a ton of water (bottled, never from the tap).   -Use your smart PHONE in public or in cars when traffic is around (these are hot targets) -Carry large amounts of cash -Make jokes about drug wars, the political climate, or the coffee (Colombia grows some of the world's finest coffee, most of which is exported not sold locally
