Will you have any protocols in place to address COVID-19 concerns?
************ As of January 3, 2022, the city of Chicago is requiring anyone 5 years and older to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and must also wear a mask in order to dine indoors. This means that anyone planning to attend our wedding must follow these guidelines. We will continue to provide updates concerning Covid-19 as they become available to us. We are still looking forward to a fun and safe wedding and hope that you all can join us on our special day! *********
What Do You Mean By A "Welcome Dinner" For All Guests?
We would love to have everyone who is in town on Friday join us for a "Welcome Dinner." We will plan to meet everyone at the Haymarket Pub and Brewery, 737 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL, 60661 at 6:00pm (CST) to say hello to all of our family and friends and enjoy some fantastic pizza and beer! We are renting the private back room of the brewery from 6-11pm which includes a private bar, pool tables, dart boards, and several TV's. Did we mention it is also March Madness and there will be games playing that weekend?! Prepare to relax and have fun!
Where is the wedding?
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at Loft Lucia,
located at: 7 N Carpenter St, Chicago, IL 60607
We are renting both the third and fourth floor of the Loft. Each floor has its own bar, with a nice and open stair case connecting the floors with a walk out balcony on the fourth floor. Music will be synced between each floor for continued fun. Our wedding ceremony will be on the third floor followed by a cocktail reception on the fourth floor. Dinner will be back down on the third floor followed by dancing and good times!
What is the time of the wedding?
The wedding will begin at 4:00PM (CST). More details to follow.
Is there parking?
No. Loft Lucia does not have designated parking. Loft Lucia is located 2 blocks away from the Morgan Pink/Green Line Stop. It is also walking distance from the Hyatt (0.2 mi) and the Crowne (0.3mi). We tried to pick the location of the welcome party, wedding, and hotels as close as possible together. Plan to either walk or Uber to the events! (we love walking)
What Is the Recommended Attire For The Welcome Dinner?
Casual attire. We will be in a brewery with pizza, beer, and March Madness on the TV. Dress for a good time.
What is the recommended attire for the wedding?
Semi-formal/cocktail attire. Permission granted to dazzle.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.
Will there be dancing?
We hope that you will bring out some of your best dance moves as the reception party will involve a live DJ.
Do you have a registry?
No registry, but first, let us explain. We decided to have our wedding in Chicago as it was geographically close to us in Michigan and it also has numerous direct flights. We realize having a "...destination" wedding in Chicago requires people to fly in from all over the country. We decided not to do a registry. Instead, just come and please be with us on our special day! If you can't make it, that's okay, we will see you next time! :)
