Today, this authentically restored Battleship preserves our proud Naval history and serves as her state’s World War II memorial to the 11,000+ North Carolinians who sacrificed their all for their country.

Located in Wilmington, NC, the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA is open daily from 8 am – 5 pm. Last ticket is sold one hour before closing. Come and explore 9 decks on our self-guided tour. Stroll the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Veterans Memorial Walkway for a 360 view of this magnificent ship. Bring a picnic to enjoy in our park located along the Cape Fear River.

The North Carolina aquarium at Fort Fisher is where kids and adults alike can visit and learn about marine life. Growing up it was one of Amanda's favorite places in Wilmington, NC. The drive is ~40 min from downtown Wilmington.
