We moved in together September of 2019 after Nigel completed his firefighter training in Texas. We both worked as much as we could and spent our free time going to the gym and catching up on Netflix or going away for a weekend here and there to the Sunshine Coast or Whistler.

In November 2020 we brought Kygo home, which was the best thing to ever happen to us. This little guy is the best dog we could ask for and raising him has taught us so much. Our days are now filled with dog walks, camping trips, dog friendly vacation spots, and swimming holes - we don't go anywhere without this little dude. We love him more than life itself and would do anything for him. He has definitely changed our lives for the better.

In between the dog walks we both spent most of our energy building our professional lives. Nigel worked as a forest firefighter in Williams Lake and then got hired as a full-time municipal firefighter. Amanda completed her Masters of Nursing and got her first nursing teaching position. In April 2022 we bought our first place together.
