Zach and Amanda met for the first time over casual drinks in December of 2024. They immediately hit it off, both privately acknowledging the other was someone very special. Two days after their date, Zach stopped at the Taylor family home to drop off a book he had mentioned to Amanda. The next day he was leaving to India for three weeks and hoped she would remember him when he came back. While he was travelling, the two sent long audio messages, Facetimed and called every day. As they got to know each other they realized how much they had in common. They shared a love of travelling, exploring new places, their faith and personal relationships with Jesus Christ, good food and coffee, and big social lives. As the conversations got deeper, so did their feelings for the other person. When Zach flew home, Amanda picked him up from the airport where they shared their first kiss. He invited her to spend New Years with him, and just after midnight one the first day of 2025, they made their relationship official. They both knew they wanted this time to be intentional and started talking about marriage, building groundwork for a successful family. They involved their families and friends and the support they received was precious. Zach’s parents came out to meet Amanda mid-February and while they were visiting, Zach planned a surprise proposal. On Sunday February 16th, Zach took Amanda down to a spot on her family farm where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
