How to get to Courtenay/Comox, BC
Flying
Direct Flights:
If you're flying internationally, you'll most likely arrive at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). From there, the quickest and easiest option is to take a direct flight to Comox Valley Airport (YQQ). Air Canada and WestJet both offer several flights a day, and the flight time is about 1 hour.
Connecting Flights:
If you're coming from an international destination, you can fly into Vancouver first, then catch a connecting flight to Comox. There are multiple flights from Vancouver to Comox every day, and the flight is short and easy.
Driving

You'll drive your car onto the ferry (or just take a foot passenger ticket). Once you arrive in Nanaimo, you’ll drive up the island to Comox,
Flying + Ferry
If the flight cost to Comox is too high, you could consider flying into Vancouver and then taking a ferry over to Vancouver Island. To do so, first see above information about flying into Vancouver.
Once you land in Vancouver you take the Translink or an Uber to the Vancouver Waterfront where you can take the Hullo passenger Ferry.
The Hullo Ferry is actually a more recent, but very convenient and popular option for traveling between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, including to the Comox area. It’s a passenger-only ferry service, so you don’t bring your car aboard, but it's very comfortable and scenic.
Hullo Ferry Details:
Departure Location: The Hullo Ferry departs from Downtown Vancouver at Coal Harbour (just near Canada Place). \
Arrival Location: It docks in Nanaimo at the Departure Bay Terminal on Vancouver Island, which is a bit farther north compared to other ferry routes.
