Where should we stay?

We recommend staying at Grand Hotel de iles Borromees. All events will be held at the hotel. It's a historic hotel (Ernest Hemingway used to write here) with old school Italian charm and the perfect amount of elegance. There are additional hotels within walking distance that are wonderful, please see the travel tab for more information.

What is the hotel website?

link for hotel in english - https://borromees.com/en/

Which airport do we fly into?

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) located in Milan, Italy

How far is the venue from the airport?

Once you land in Milan, it's a 45 minute drive to the venue. You can coordinate a car through the hotel, call an Uber when you land, use a taxi or rent a car. If you're feeling extra crazy, there is a helicopter available that you can coordinate through the hotel

Should we rent a car?

Up to you! all of the events will be at the same venue or a few blocks away. If you want to extend your stay before or after in the region, feel free to rent a car. The hotel has parking available if you choose to rent a car. If you've never driven on Italian roads.... good luck

Can you text Amanda with any and all questions?

Of course! we don't want you to struggle with figuring out anything, so please text at (949)414-3976 or my UK number +44 (771)746-2904. Ideal questions include if you are torn between what to wear (ex - fabulous dress #1 or #2?), as logistics questions are dull. Kidding, kidding seriously text me if you need any help at all

What is the attire for the Friday night event - aperitivo?

Cocktail attire. For women - fun dresses, can be flowy or structured, floral or printed, extra flare is always encouraged. For men - jacket (always a jacket), button down and pants, extra points for a pocket square

What is the attire for the Saturday events - ceremony, reception & disco tech?

For Women - Colorful, long, elegant dresses, something you feel absolutely fabulous in, lots of photos and videos will be taken so I fully support a splurge purchase (when do I not) for Men - Tuxedos (color of your choice within reason please - black, midnight blue, cream or olive) and bowtie. what is the attire for Sunday brunch?

This will be the most relaxed event of the three. Colorful summer dresses for women and nice shirt with slacks for men.

What is the attire for Sunday afternoon - (unofficial) Pool Party?

Wedding festivities will conclude, so if you are off to your next adventure - please feel free to say goodbye at brunch. If you plan on staying the day, we'll have a relaxed pool day to close out the weekend. For women - Think resort wear chic, cover-ups and dresses with a bathing suit so you can actually swim. For men, swim trunks with a linen button down. It'll be warm, so we'll definitely be in the water!

Is this a fashion show?

It's always a fashion show (lucky Dan)

What will the weather be like?

End of Summer in Italy - it won't be as hot as the coast, as the venue is in Northern Italy. We'll be near the Swiss Alps on a glacial lake (Lake Maggiore), which will hopefully keep the weather more moderate. Expect mid 80's during the day and mid/high 70's at night.

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP via the website by June 7, 2025

Can I bring a plus one?

If you have a special someone that you can't imagine not having with you, please text us!

Are kids welcome?

Yes, with one stipulation - the parents must still be super fun! We know people will be extending vacations and want families to be able to travel together. We ask they do not join the wedding day festivities. Please note the hotel does offer babysitting/childcare services
