What time should I arrive to the wedding?
The ceremony starts exactly at 4pm, so we ask that you please arrive and are seated 15-20 minutes prior.
How do I get to the welcome party on Friday?
The welcome party is being held at Live Wire of Athens, at the corner of West Dougherty St and North Hull St. It is an 18 minute walk from the HomeWood Suites and an 11 minute walk from the Holiday Inn Express.
If you are driving, there is paid street parking available. Guests can also pay to park at the Washington Street Deck, which is only 2 blocks away from Live Wire.
How do I get to and from the wedding venue on Saturday?
We will not be providing shuttle services to and from the hotel blocks to the wedding venue. However, Uber and Lyft are readily available. There is also ample parking at the venue should you choose to drive.
The ceremony will be held at the Day Chapel at the State Botanical Gardens. As you enter the gardens, follow signs for the Day Chapel which will be at the very end of the road.
What are the wedding colors?
Our wedding will include a variety of fall-inspired colors! The bridesmaids will each be wearing a different solid colored long dress, either in olive green, champagne, burnt orange, copper, or red. On the groom's side, everyone will be wearing navy blue.
Will there be a cocktail hour?
While we do not have a designated cocktail hour, after the ceremony, guests will be led into the reception hall where they can grab a drink from the bar and snack on a few appetizers. The full reception will likely start 20-30 minutes after the ceremony ends.
Will there be assigned seating for the reception?
We decided not to have assigned seating because we don't think everyone will be seated for too long! When you get to the reception hall, please choose any available seat, there will be plenty of seating for everyone.
How do I get to the brunch on Sunday?
The brunch is being held at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Athens where we have a hotel block. We have reserved a private room in the hotel where the brunch will be held.
