Take a walk around campus! Be sure to check out Sanford Stadium, the Mary Kahrs Warnell Garden, The Trial Gardens, the famous 'Arch' (located in downtown Athens), and the Georgia Museum of Art (10am - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday, 1-5pm Sunday) which is completely free!

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia

Yes, we know - this is where our wedding is being held! But the botanical gardens are open to the public 7am - 7pm seven days a week. These extensive gardens are free to explore and include additional walking trails, an indoor conservatory, a gift shop, and an art museum.

Downtown Athens

Staying in or near downtown Athens? Luckily for you, it's a great place to explore! With a plethora of shops, restaurants, and bars, there's something for everyone.

Wire Park

If you want a slightly quieter place to explore, Wire Park in the neighboring town of Watkinsville (where Amanda and Cody live) is a great option. This area includes shops, restaurants, a brewery, and plenty of indoor and outdoor hang out space.

Memorial Park

Memorial Park is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon. The park includes a 1.5 mile hiking trail, a pond with a short paved trail (check out the pond for turtles), and the Bear Hollow Zoo, a small, free zoo that includes several animals native to Georgia.
