It was Saturday, July 16 2011 and Jamie intercepted Amanda at a barbecue party before she had a chance to talk to any other guys. He invited her to chat with him on the front porch. In what seemed like only an instant, 2 hours had passed and it felt like the conversation was just getting started. Though the timing wasn't right for their love story to unfold quite yet, the connection was undeniable and seeds were planted. Amanda moved back to Baltimore to finish her Master's Degree and they lost touch for a few years. In April 2016, Jamie and Amanda reconnected through email prompted by conversations about ministry between Amanda and her sister. God certainly knew what He was doing because it was now the right time for this relationship to take off. After a few months of rekindling their friendship, it was clear this bond was meant for a deeper connection.
