Our Wedding

&nbsp;It was Saturday, July 16 2011 and Jamie intercepted Amanda at a&nbsp;barbecue party before she had a chance to talk to any other guys.&nbsp; He invited her to chat with him on the front porch. In what seemed&nbsp;like only an instant,&nbsp;2 hours had passed and it felt like the conversation was just getting started.&nbsp; Though the timing wasn't&nbsp;right for their love story to unfold&nbsp;quite&nbsp;yet, the connection was undeniable and seeds were planted.&nbsp; Amanda moved back to Baltimore to finish her Master's Degree and they lost touch for a few years.&nbsp; In April 2016, Jamie and Amanda&nbsp;reconnected through email prompted by conversations about ministry between Amanda and her sister.&nbsp; God&nbsp;certainly knew what He was doing because&nbsp;it was now the right time for this relationship to take off.&nbsp; After a few months of rekindling their friendship, it was clear this bond was meant for a deeper connection.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

John is Jamie's younger brother.&nbsp; As the younger brother, John regularly enjoyed being overpowered in wrestling,&nbsp;sports and games while maintaining a great attitude all the while.&nbsp; He eventually caught up in size, and now they've called it a draw.&nbsp; They've maintained a close relationship through the years,and currently are in the real estate investment business together.&nbsp; John's two children, Owen and Vivienne will serve in the wedding as ring bearer and flower girl.

Sarah is not only an amazing sister, but one of the most passionate people I know.&nbsp; As kids, we had different roles in the family.&nbsp; I took it upon myself to be the “second mom” to my sister, which she, of course, loved.&nbsp; And Sarah perfected the art of&nbsp;quietly antagonizing me just long enough to get a reaction out of me so I would be the one to&nbsp;get in trouble. Yes, textbook oldest and youngest siblings. &nbsp; Our relationship has changed with life’s seasons and continues to grow stronger. &nbsp;It has been a wonderful journey with Sarah by my side and I cannot imagine my wedding day without her next to me as my Maid of Honor.

Lauren is my oldest friend of almost 32&nbsp; years!&nbsp; I can't remember a time in my life when Lauren was not in it.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have shared many of life's milestone together with the most recent being the birth of Lauren's first baby!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Andrew and Jamie have been friends since Middle School where&nbsp;they played on the&nbsp;basketball team together.&nbsp; Their mutual love for Jesus, athletic conquest, board/card&nbsp;games, and&nbsp; general&nbsp;tomfoolery has kept them close through the years.&nbsp; &nbsp;Andrew has been a trusted friend and loyal travel companion.

Matt (aka Waldo to his friends) has been a close friend to Jamie since they met in 2001. Over the years, they've become like brother's - just from other mother's.

Matthew (Waldo) Miller

Jen and I met playing club volleyball almost 17 years ago and laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship.&nbsp;&nbsp; We went on to be college&nbsp;roommates and&nbsp;teammates at UMBC and now both work in the medical field.&nbsp; Jen has always been there through each new journey in my life and I am excited to have her as part of our wedding.&nbsp;

Alix truly loves life and her energy is contagious!&nbsp; We all need a friend to remind us that life is short and&nbsp;what matters is building relationships with people we love.&nbsp; 18 years of friendship and I know the best ones are ahead of us!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Brett has been friends with Jamie since High School.&nbsp; He was also Jamie's roommate&nbsp;in college for 4 years.&nbsp; Now a US&nbsp;Air Force Eye Surgery Specialist stationed in San Antonio.&nbsp; Though distance has separated them since college, they've stayed in touch and regularly&nbsp;see each other at their annual college buddies reunion.

Angela and I have been friends for 20 years!&nbsp; If it wasn't for her, I'm not sure I would have any sort of fashion sense.&nbsp; My entire wardrobe was updated when we were roommates in college.&nbsp; Angela has a unique way of finding hope and a positive spin in any negative situation.&nbsp;&nbsp; There's not much that body jam, sushi, and wine can't fix!

Mike and Jamie have been friends since High School.&nbsp; They also lived together as roommates for 2 years after college.&nbsp; Mike, who's always been the more animated and funny friend, really brought out Jamie's silly side.&nbsp; &nbsp;Mike and Jamie worked together on several funny home videos. Mike Dexter

Laurie is the steady friend I can always count on.&nbsp; We have been friends since 8th grade and Laurie hasn't changed one bit!&nbsp;&nbsp;Throughout the years together playing sports, going to country concerts, and beach trips, Laurie remains one of the most loyal people I know.&nbsp;

Laurie Griffin

Jason and Jamie have been friends since 2004 when they started in the same men's small group at church.&nbsp; Their adventures have included trips to Chicago and Vermont, not to mention countless hangouts in the NOVA area. Jason is truly a renaissance man - both a pharmacist and an aspiring missionary pilot on both single and double engine planes. Ask him about it if you get a chance.

Marc and Jamie have been friends since 2005, meeting at a basketball run at church.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their mutual love of all things sports and "ladies" have kept them close throughout the years.&nbsp; Marc is also engaged to be married later&nbsp;this year in June.&nbsp;&nbsp;Be sure to congratulate him when you get a chance!

Marc Stanyer

Ken and Jamie have been friends since 2012 when Ken waited in line after church to talk to Jamie.&nbsp; Ken the avid workout buff has been the go to ski trip buddy, not to mention the leader of a monthly men's group Jamie's been a part of for several years.&nbsp; If you dare, challenge Ken to a bench pressing contest- but don't be prepared to win.
