He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and receives favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22.
Our story began with a simple swipe on Facebook Dating. Little did we know, that swipe would lead to a lifetime of love and adventure. It was a serendipitous discovery to find out we shared the same birthday – a cosmic connection that felt like a sign. Of course, Willa, ever the thorough one, did her due diligence with a background check (just to be safe!).
Our first date at Longhorn was a memorable one, though perhaps not for the food. I was so nervous, I barely touched my meal! But the spark was undeniable. Soon after, I had the privilege of meeting London and Peyton, the incredible daughters who have become such an important part of my life.
Our relationship truly solidified when Willa met my family in Port Charlotte. It was there, surrounded by loved ones, that we knew we were meant to be. Over the next couple of years, we built a life filled with shared experiences, laughter, and a growing love. We’ve traveled the country with our children, creating unforgettable memories and strengthening our bond.
Willa had hinted at her desire to get married, but always with a gentle "in due time." Then, in 2024, we were talking, and I decided it was time to make that "due time" a reality. I told her that by the end of the year, I would propose. And I did. We embarked on a cruise with our daughters, and on the very first night, I got down on one knee.
Despite everyone else in our families knowing my plan, Willa was completely surprised. She had no idea! It was a perfect moment, filled with love, joy, and the promise of a future together. We're so excited to celebrate our love with you as we begin this new chapter in our adventure.
