Men can wear a white dress shirt with their suit! Ladies- you will be walking on sand and grass, so plan accordingly for your footwear. Please no jeans. If your save the date/invitation was addressed to you and a guest, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Can we bring our children?

While we love your little ones, we really do, our wedding is going to be an Adult-Only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. You can feel free to use us as an excuse to get away from the kids for the weekend, or if you would like to bring them with you for the trip (but not to the wedding) there are childcare services available from Shoreline Sitters OBX, a highly recommended local service.

We will not be doing a traditional rehearsal dinner, instead we will be hosting a welcome party open to everyone. Light appetizers and beverages will be served

All guests should park at the beach access on East Martin Street. It’s about a 2-minute walk to the venue, but we will have a golf cart shuttle available.

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Yes!

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive a half hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on the beach and seated on time.

Can I take pictures?

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (NO phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do". We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like & don't forget to share them with us!

What happens after the ceremony?

Guests will head straight to cocktail hour which will take place around the pool, where we will be serving appetizers and beverages. A reception will follow with a buffet style dinner.

Will there be a bar?

Of course!

I have a dietary restriction, will there be food for me?

When you RSVP, please indicate your specific dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.

When should I arrive in the Outer Banks?

We understand it is a huge ask to travel for several days and will not be possible for everyone. However, if you happen to have the week off for spring break, we encourage you to take some extra time to enjoy our favorite place! We hope you can join us for all 3 days of events beginning on Thursday April 24th and ending on Saturday April 26th as we would love to spend more time with our friends & family than just one night!

Where should I stay?

In order to accommodate all of our guest's various accommodation preferences and budgets, we encourage you to stay at a hotel or a rental home of your choosing in the Kill Devil Hills area. Please see the 'Accommodations' page for more information and recommendations on where to stay. Feel Free to reach out directly to Amber or Jacob with any questions :)

What will the weather be like?

While we can't predict exactly what Mother Nature has in store for us on our big day, in the Outer Banks, we can give you an idea of what to expect based on past years. The weather can vary, ranging from chilly and rainy to warm and sunny, with temperatures typically falling between the 60s and 80s. We recommend keeping an eye on the forecast closer to the date and preparing for anything — let's all hope for a beautiful day!

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! We will have a card box the day of the wedding. If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

Where are you registered?

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we will be registering for a few items we need for our newlywed home. A link to our wedding registry can be found under the 'Registry' page.

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area to visit before or after the wedding.
