Story City has a 1913 hand carved wooden carousel which operates from May-September in Story City's North Park. This central Iowa community purchased it in 1938 and rescued it from deterioration by completely restoring it in 1982. Fun fact: The local carousel was restored within the wall of our venue, the Rustic Rose Barn!
It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
