Engagement Story:

February 14th, 2021 - Andrew surprised Amber in the morning with Starbucks coffee, a card, and balloons. In the card, it said to get in the car for a surprise. Later that day, she jumped in the car, excited for the surprise. Andrew brought her to run some errands, stopping into Warby Parker to get his glasses adjusted. They stopped into a few stores and she thought the surprise was over. On the way home, Andrew said that the builder from their new home contacted them and needed them to stop into the office quickly. Amber thought this was odd, given it was a Sunday... but Andrew did secretly have the builder send an email inviting them in that day.

They reached their home site, which was just the foundation at that time. It was negative -15 degrees this day so Amber was a bit hesitant in getting out of the car and wanted to wait until the builder got there. She followed Andrew to the home, discussing where they would situate a treadmill in the basement (this was Andrew's earlier surprise). He turned to walk to the car and as he was walking, turned around on his knee and said something like "Well you can run on the treadmill but you cannot run away from me. Will you marry me?" Through uncontrollable laughter and shock, Amber said "YES!" at the site of their future home together.
