Our story began at George Street Tavern in downtown Jackson, MS in 2016. Amber was temporarily living in Jackson, MS, as she was in the midst of completing an internship during her junior year at Ole Miss.

The day before Valentines Day, her college roommate convinced her to go with her to meet a couple of guys she had met previously. Amber was reluctant, as she would have chosen to stay home in sweats, binging Netflix, but she decided that it wouldn’t hurt to go out and meet these mystery guys.

When Amber met Eric, the conversation flowed seamlessly and it was clear that the two had a real connection. However, at first, armed with liquid courage, Eric asked for Amber’s number; she refused to give it to him. After all, she wouldn’t be a girl giving her number to a smooth talking guy at a bar. In the end, it was Amber who ended up asking for his number a few days later. Not long after that, they went on their first date.

Amber and Eric were inseparable during her time in Jackson, but before they knew it, it was time for her to return to school in Oxford, MS and finish up her undergraduate degree. They started dating, and continued to date long-distance when Amber was in Oxford.

By the time Amber graduated, they both knew (fairly quickly) that they were in it for the long haul. Amber packed up and moved to Jackson, MS where she attended MC Law and moved in with Eric.

Eric stuck by Amber’s side through her three years of law school and for studying, and eventually passing the MS bar.

During this time period they’ve gone on trips to New Orleans, gotten a dog and cat, and have recently purchased their first home together.
