Ken and Amelia met in 2019 when Ken attended Amelia's Game of Thrones viewing party with his roommates. They immediately connected over their taste in bougie IPAs.

They went on their first date to Kinsmen Brewing on September 3, 2019 and have been visiting breweries together ever since.

Their ability to depend on each other during the pandemic accelerated their relationship and by January, 2021 the couple decided to take a leap of faith and move to Maine together. By November they bought a house and immediately began turning it into a home.

On July 5, 2023 (a Wednesday, for the record) Ken asked Amelia if she wanted to grab a beer at a favorite brewery, offered to drive, then ~kidnapped her~ and brought her to the P2V airplane in Brunswick, a representation of their connection to the area, and asked her to marry him. She agreed, after confirming they would still be getting that beer.
