Take in the views!

Take a walk on one of the trails in Harpswell and see the places Amelia works to protect!

For a longer hike:

-Long Reach Preserve

-Otter Brook Preserve

-Cliff Trail

-Anna M. Tondreau Preserve (new!)

For coastal views:

-Potts Point Preserve

-Giant's Stairs and McIntosh Lot

-Skolfield Shores Preserve

-Johnson Field Preserve (Ken's favorite)

For something quick:

-Wilson's Cove Trail (Amelia's favorite)

-Houghton Graves Park

*We do not recommend Stover's Point Preserve. It is beautiful, but the access road is in really bad shape and is not passable for low vehicles.

"Local" Restaurants

There are great places to eat in Brunswick, especially along Maine Street (yes, it's spelled like the state!). There are also some fun spots in Harpswell, if you're willing to make the (scenic) drive. Here are a few of the places Ken and Amelia recommend:

Brunswick

-Nomad has amazing woodfired pizza, cocktails, and a local tap list.

-Bombay Mahal is the oldest Indian restaurant in Maine, and worth the visit!

-Little Saigon has great pho and does sit-down or take-out.

-Antigoni's Pizza is an easy take-out pizza option right across the street from the Days Inn. Just make sure to order from the Brunswick location!

-The parents of the bride recommend the Brunswick Diner for breakfast, but get there early or be willing to wait a bit for a table.

Harpswell

-Looking for a lobster roll or some local seafood? Try Erica's Seafood down in Harpswell, an outdoor spot right on the wharf. (Note: they are cash only)

- The Dolphin and Harpswell Schoolhouse are two fun, upscale options if you're looking for something more formal.

Visit Freeport

Freeport is a great place to visit if you have some time and want to explore. Main Street has lots of shops, restaurants, ice cream, and even the famed LL Bean Flagship store!

-LL Bean is a great place to shop or explore if it's a rainy day. There are several buildings on their campus, and you can take a picture with the bean boot!

-Maine Beer Co. is a fantastic brewery with woodfired pizza and IPAs.

-Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park is a great place to explore, if you want to spend some time on Maine's coastline, and it's where Ken and Amelia took their engagement photos! Admission - Adults $6, Seniors $2.(Just make sure you go to the state park and not the farm, they are neighbors)

Visit Portland

If you have time, we recommend checking out the city of Portland! Here are some of the things we like to do:

-Walk on the Eastern Promenade (can walk to Old Port from here)

-Walk in Old Port and shop

-Eat some fries at Duckfat or Duckfat Frites Shack

-Visit one of our favorite breweries, like Bissell Brothers or the FIVE breweries at Industrial Way (not for the faint of heart)

-Looking for Oysters? We recommend Eventide Oyster Co.
